Today we're celebrating #InternationalYouthDay and wanted to share with you a poem written by one of our young carers, Florence. To say we were blown away is an understatement.... the words and sentiment behind them belies that Florence is just 13! #youngcarers #community #youngpeople #poetry #youth #Hope #IYD2024.

So very proud of our young carers' achievement! If you're a local business interested in working with us to deliver positive social impact like this.... let me know; our Hart & Rushmoor Young Carers' service is just one of our five project streams delivering postive outcomes for local people.
Wow... what an achievement from our Hart & Rushmoor Young Carers! Seven of our 14 & 15 year olds are on a mission to complete their The Duke of Edinburgh's Award bronze award having recently completed the expedition section of the award. This is an unbelievable challenge given that these young people have a daily caring role within their family unit.... Pictured on their recent, successful expedition we'd like to give a shout out to Rushmoor Borough Council's #Rushmoorlottery and Farnborough Airport for helping fund kit, clothing & transport costs.....therefore making it happen! #Community #CSR #Community #DofE #Thankyou #DukeofEdinburghAward

Earlier this year, we were delighted to be chosen as one of three charitable causes supported at SQLBits 2024. Teams from Microsoft and SQLBits collaborated to help some of our Young Carers attend the largest festival in the world for young people with caring responsibilities.... YMCA Fairthorne Manor. Well you certainly delivered! Last weekend, 23 of our young people had an absolute blast, with even the great British weather cooperating. Special thanks to Kate Mckee, Marisamathews1, and Adam & Patrick, aka Guy in a Cube, for enabling our youngsters to be free from their caring roles for a short time and enjoy being themselves....... #community #ESG #nonprofit #thankyou https://lnkd.in/eH6vn9za

Very pleased to share this NAVCA video.
We are pleased to launch our new video, ahead of the general election, to emphasise the importance of partnerships and collaboration. Our conference brought people together to network, share ideas and learn from each other. When we spoke to members, partners and stakeholders, we heard about the importance of collective voice and the power of local infrastructure. Check it out 👇
