We are delighted to support our non-executive director, Ian Gascoigne, as he embarks upon a challenging adventure to Nepal today for the charity 'Supporting Nepal's Children'.   He joins a 17-person team working on the construction of a new Vocational Centre in Nepal, which will help children further their skills after they leave the schooling system.   The 'foundations to finishing touches' scheme trains young people in trades like carpentry, plumbing, and tailoring, so they can return to their villages and start their own businesses. After 5 days of manual labour in the gruelling heat, Ian and the team will then embark on a 4-5 day hike across the Annapurna mountain range to a maximum height of 3,210m.   Every pound Ian raises will be matched by the St James's Place Charitable Foundation which is close to his heart after a 32-year career with the firm, culminating as the Managing Director and Special Adviser.
