About us

HANX is connecting the major life stages of women’s health for a 100,000+ strong community, with gynae-designed sexual and reproductive health products including prescription treatments and content. Founded by former Goldman Sachs investment banking professional Farah Kabir and gynaecology and obstetrics expert Dr Sarah Welsh, it offers direct-to-consumer women's wellness essentials, with a core pleasure focused product line including sensitive condoms and lubricant, and a bestselling toy, Cindy. Inspired by the evolving needs of the HANX community at every life stage, the product line has expanded to include natural, nutritionist-approved supplements to support the pregnancy to postpartum journey, menopausal symptoms and libido in women. Alongside this, HANX also offers a pioneering same-day-dispatch pharmacy service, discreetly delivering hormonal contraception on subscription, plus the morning after pill and intimate care treatments. In September 2024, HANX became the first women's health brand in the UK to launch safe, effective GLP-1 medication, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide), as part of a new weight management programme to support women to reach their life goals, for the long-term. Alongside its e-commerce focus, HANX has partnered with all major UK retailers to revolutionise women's health and wellness aisles. The only challenger brand on shelf, HANX products can be found in 2,000+ high street stores, including Boots, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and WHSmith. As part of its targeted expansion strategy, HANX recently launched DTC operations in the US, in line with major consumer demand, with plans for further global presence to follow. HANX has received widespread press coverage, with titles including Forbes, BBC, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The Independent and Forbes.

Today, we proudly became the first women’s health brand in the UK to launch pioneering, science-backed GLP-1 medication, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide) as part of a new weight management programme for women. 💙 The latest offering from our digital pharmacy, it brings together groundbreaking, safe and effective medications with key lifestyle guidance, to support our community to reach their health goals, for the long-term. From libido fluctuations to menstrual cycle irregularities, we know that weight can impact our broader health - and women can finder it harder to manage weight, especially when navigating conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis and in menopause. Over the last seven years, we’ve been up close and personal to support our community at every life stage. From developing our own medical device grade contraceptive products to tackling lack of access to GP services with our own digital pharmacy, we’ve always been at the forefront of innovation - and the latest evolution of our digital pharmacy is the natural next stage of our journey. Designed for sustainable, attainable results, the weight management programme combines clinically proven GLP-1 medication, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide), alongside expert-led nutrition and movement guides, to set our patients up for sustainable, and attainable, success.     Did we get told off for sneaking this shot at Sainsbury's HQ? Yes. Have we been strutting around like rebels ever since? Yes x 1000. 👀 It was so great to head along to the Health, Beauty and Wellness event last week to touch base with our brilliant buyers Juliette Wall and Lucy Vaughan, and catch up with fellow Sainsbury's suppliers including fourfiveuk, Ordo, Grass & Co., Fussy, Waken Mouthcare and No Knot Co LTD. 👋 Since we launched, getting our natural, sensitive sexual wellness essentials in front of as many people as possible - and tackling shame and stigma at the same time - has been our big goal. Sainsbury's was the first grocery giant to see the value in bringing a challenger brand into the aisles and we've loved being part of the big orange family ever since. 🧡 Since launching our condoms and lubricant, we've been proud to bring our life-stage supplements for pregnancy and menopause onto shelves, too.     What do cereal and sex have in common? Not much, unless you have a brilliant copywriter like these guys! The result? A viral advert with the cheeky tagline: “Great for spooning / Great for forking.” Co-branded products and clever messaging are so powerful and memorable in campaigns, and seriously, SURREAL shows exactly how you do it - Valentine’s Day must been a big win with this one, look how they teamed up with sexual wellness company HANX for an out-of-home campaign. I read that Surreal themselves admitted the unlikely pairing with Hanx, saying, “cereal and condoms don’t have a lot in common, but they do say opposites attract.” This bold approach paid off and within hours of going live, their post apparently racked up masses of likes and countless brand impressions. IMO, unconventional partnerships are not only eye-catching but also significantly boost reach and engagement across social channels. It’s a reminder that with the right creativity, even the most unexpected combinations can captivate and resonate with audiences. #brand #advertising #copywriter

    So, we didn’t win Best Health and Beauty Brand at The Grocer Awards last night - something we wish we’d clarified for our mums before this photo sent the extended family group chats into a tizzy. Real talk: are we disappointed? OF COURSE! Right now, half our amazing team are down with COVID so we couldn’t be there to celebrate our nomination, and we’d have loved our brilliant humans behind HANX to get to party it up and celebrate the HUGE achievements getting our products on shelf at the UK’s biggest retailers (hi Tesco Boots UK , Sainsbury's and beyond!). Ultimately though, we’re all sickeningly soppy at heart (seriously, you’d be eyeballing at our group chat). It really is a massive win to be recognised as a finalist alongside Ordo, Rheal , SURI and Aussie Haircare. It was also a huge mood to see our johnnies, lube, supplements and Cindy beamed out on the big screen for the Royal Albert Hall to ogle. (Thanks to Little Moons Vivien Wong for the pic!) HUGE congrats to team at Flo who took home the gong on the night - a win for women’s health is a win for everyone. The more brands and entrepenreuers challenging the major players, the more innovation that’s hitting the market and making all our lives (and vaginas) happier.     70% of women experience libido fluctuations but have been ignored by mainstream sexual wellness.. until now. 😈 We're THRILLED that our longtime partner Boots UK has launched our pioneering Libido Lift supplement in-store all around the nation! As our Co-Founders Dr Sarah Welsh and Farah K. (👇) can attest, bringing a challenger brand into retail, especially a sector which is dominated (ooh err) by one major name, is really, really tricky. The incredible Boots UK team were the very first to get behind us back when we launched, and have been completely on board with bringing our natural, effective, stigma-free essentials for women in store and online, too. To see our sex drive supplement join our condoms and lubricant on shelf is such a major moment, firstly personally, as entrepreneurs. Bigger than that even, it's such a massive validation of our community's needs. Women's libido has long been subject to shaming (whether yours is high or low or anything in between!) and NPD-wise, not even addressed by the major players. It's not a sexy topic, but our sex drives can be affected by everything from medication to mood to diet, but especially hormonal changes such as in menopause. To see our product proudly on shelf, and be more easily accessible for those who need it, is such a validation of this product and the importance of women's pleasure. Huge thanks to the Boots UK buying team, and also to your store teams for putting up with us touring all your sites to take photos for our mums. 😂 Thanks also to Shona Wilkinson for her expertise in helping create our community's dream product.
