In this week’s Autumn Budget, Chancellor Rachel Reeves showed her support for the ongoing transition to net zero, by extending the salary sacrifice incentives for electric vehicles. According to figures available from ZapMap at https://lnkd.in/epQ79PSe, there are now more than 1,250,000 fully electric vehicles on UK roads. Salary sacrifice incentives will have contributed to the increase in the number of EVs as more and more companies offer their employees the opportunity to purchase EVs through company car salary sacrifice schemes. One of the risks for companies is that they may be exposed to early termination claims if an employee returns the vehicle before the end of the lease term.
