Our team is passionate about making a real difference on construction sites across the UK, helping clients plan and manage surface water with our Rain-Ready silt control and water treatment systems. Every visit, every conversation, every demo we do is aimed at putting effective measures in place to protect the environment, no matter the challenge. 💧 Not every issue we spot is a deal breaker – sometimes it’s the small details, like the humble boot-washing station. When these facilities are overlooked, the cleanliness of site cabins and workspaces can take a hit, impacting efforts made across the entire site. By spotting the little things, our technical team hope to share insights that make a big difference on site. Stay tuned for more practical tips and stories on Fridays. ✨ It's part of our mission to protect the environment, one site at a time! 💚 #FridayFail #ConstructionLife #EnvironmentalImpact #SiltControl #SurfaceWaterManagement

🌿 Nat has been out on site this week working on the pre-construction phase of a housing project 🌿 🌱🏗️ We are working proactively with a client at this early phase of a new housing development. Effective planning and early action in monitoring and surface water management are critical at this stage and often overlooked. We can mitigate potential stress and uncertainty later in the project by addressing these aspects before construction begins. Therefore, we are helping to devise a silt control strategy using robust, low-cost, groundbreaking solutions so the client is prepared as specified in their scope, has budgeted for good surface water management, and is ready to handle what the wet weather throws at them. Being #RainReady saves money and reduces delays in projects. 🌊🔍 Our team is currently out in the field, conducting baseline monitoring on a stream, downstream of the new construction site phases, which are not yet active. This is essential to establish pre-development water quality, as required by the council or local authority overseeing the watercourse that will eventually receive site runoff. 📊🌍 We are conducting four-weekly readings of turbidity, pH, ORP, conductivity, and temperature, with comprehensive reports to be provided at the end of the monitoring period. The monitoring location, situated in a public area on the road, is quite a distance from the actual site boundary. 🌿🔧 By planning ahead and implementing the necessary measures, we aim to ensure a smoother and more predictable development process. 📨 Contact us https://lnkd.in/ekvyie3H #ProactivePlanning #EnvironmentalMonitoring #SurfaceWaterManagement #PreConstruction #SustainableDevelopment #FrogEnvironmental

This morning our teams paused for a Tea & Talk in support of World Mental Health Day. While mental health can affect anyone, in our industry people's wellbeing statistics are scarily low. According to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), while construction workers are statistically less than half as likely to report work-related stress, depression, or anxiety compared to the general workforce, they are four times more likely to take their own lives. 💔 Please remember: ✨ It's okay to talk about mental health ✨ It's okay to ask for help ✨ It's okay to take a break We’re grateful to have Helen on our team as a trained Mental Health First Aider, offering support when it’s needed. Remember, you're never alone —there are many people and resources available to help. 💬📞You can explore more here: https://lnkd.in/ejZss4bY Take care today, and everyday. Your mental health is important. ☎️ Check in with a colleague 🍵 Take some time for you #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealth #bekind Mental Health Foundation #WMHD2024

🌿 Inspiring future generations to protect our waterways🌿 We launched a community fund in 2021 but we don't often talk about what goes on behind the scenes. 🎬 Off the back of one of our team members putting a case forward for funding, a community group we've supported so far this year is a village show society in central England. The Kings Bromley Show is the heartbeat of the village, bringing together residents and visitors to celebrate village life. The show society has made significant contributions to the community, from providing grants to village clubs to installing benches and planting native trees to creating walking leaflets and maintaining public spaces. These efforts ensure that the village remains a welcoming and beautiful place for everyone. 🐸 Aligning with our vision 🐸 Our sponsorship of the Kings Bromley Show aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire a future generation of environmental stewards. We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing our waterways, and we believe that fostering a love for nature in young people is crucial for the sustainability of our environment. By supporting events like the Kings Bromley Show, we hope to encourage more individuals to appreciate and protect their local ecosystems. The art competition had an environmental theme this year to tie in nicely with our sponsorship. 🌟 Looking ahead 🌟 As we look to the future, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote environmental education and community involvement. We are excited to see the positive impact of our sponsorship, as we work together to inspire a generation that will love and protect our waterways. Find out more about our Community Fund or contact a member of our team if you have a community project that could benefit from some funding. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dKrsnCrp #givingback #community #nextgeneration #protectourrivers

This #FridayFail shares our team's expertise on common deployment mistakes made on site when treating water before discharge, often into nearby watercourses. We exist to help the construction industry protect watercourses and prevent silt pollution which causes environmental harm. Captured by our site technician Nicholas Stephens, this photo shows how untreated, dirty water is bypassing the water treatment point and is seeping through the sandbags underneath the pipe. Correct deployment is key to any good surface water management system as is good monitoring to check systems are working as well as they should. Gel Flocculant is a proven silt control solution removing up to 99% of total suspended solids when flowing water mixes with it. 👉 Find out why silt management is important on site: https://lnkd.in/e-4CzT4u 👉 Read some monitoring tips and insights from our technical team: https://lnkd.in/ethhSys3 👉 Contact us for deployment guides or training: https://lnkd.in/eGdNbjvg #FridayFail #GelFlocculant #siltmatters #silt #surfacewatermanagement #pollutionprevention

A common misconception in our industry is understanding when an environmental permit is required to discharge water from a construction site. Our technical team has written an article explaining the permit process and offering tips on the key aspects needed to complete a bespoke permit application for discharge. It also outlines how much it costs to apply (they increased the application fee in June this year). ⏱️ Plan ahead is our technical team's key recommendation. You won't be granted a permit overnight, it can take many months for the regulators to review and issue them, and you often need them in place before you can legally discharge water from your site. 💦 Enjoy the read and reach out if you have any questions. We're here to help. #permitting #environmentalpermits #surfacewatermanagement #waterdischarge https://lnkd.in/eHQ36vQY
