💙We are looking forward to attending WindEnergy Hamburg 24-27 September. Our Clean Energy Specialist Robert Edge will be there to talk about an emerging Clean Growth Zone within Freeport East that will deliver across the UK Government’s clean energy agenda, including on/offshore wind, green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels, cleaner shipping and green manufacturing. A key part of this is the 122 hectare #BathsideBay port expansion project in #Harwich which offers unique opportunities to support offshore wind assembly, construction and manufacturing. The wider East of England is already a centre for the production of clean energy and we’ll be ensuring our region’s voice is heard at this important event for the European offshore wind industry. 📢Today saw the ground-breaking ceremony of a new 44,000 sq ft distribution centre at Gateway 14... Bauder Flat Roofs, a leading international manufacturer of flat roof building construction materials including solutions for green roofs and solar PV arrays, is the latest business to invest in their presence in Suffolk and the freeport at the state-of-the-art business, innovation and logistics park near Stowmarket. Bauder's parent company is in Germany but this site will become the company's biggest distribution location in the UK enabling them to grow and strengthen their presence in Ipswich and the UK market. It also adds to the emerging cluster of sustainable construction firms at Gateway 14 and the wider area, providing opportunities to attract wider investments whilst building University linkages and skills support. Yvonne Higgins of Bauder, said: “This a landmark day for Bauder. Our investment plan, to grow and strengthen our presence in the UK market, welcomes the new distribution centre to meet increasing demand, and is in line with our sustainability programme. This is the first part of a larger plan that will also see us expand our operational base in Ipswich and create further job opportunities at both our sites.” See here for more details: https://ow.ly/hy8750T4aVY Suffolk County Council, Essex County Council, University of Essex, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, Tendring District Council, Hutchison Ports (UK), Gateway 14, Stowmarket, East Suffolk Council, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, Port of Felixstowe / Port of Britain, Ivan Henderson, Lesley Wagland, Robert Singh, Rachel Eburne, Sir Christopher Haworth Bt #distribution #construction #manufacturing #investment #freeporteast #gateway14 #suffolk
