Everyone has a unique conference experience and since it’s the last day of #ISUOG2024 I thought I’d reflect from a research Sonographer perspective! Here are my highlights: 🌎 Top OBGYN cutting edge clinical science from researchers all over the world; abstract awardees TBC but I loved the 1st trimester work from Aris Papageorghiou ‘s group and the facial quantitative work from Christoph Lees group 🤖 OMG the tech! Large vendors showed off their new tools and equipment with live ‘masters’ sessions, and not just from the ‘usual suspects’. Standing room only for Vita Zidere ‘s cardiac sessions with Canon Medical Systems Europe and some impressive features by new entrant SonoScape Europe and that’s not just related to Kam Singh ‘s stylish bag giveaways which caused long queues! 👩🏾💻 Software solutions! Some eyebrow raising AI software driven tools from the OEMs and new vendors that look set to be part of the charge to stimulate change in ultrasound workflows eg Sonio and Diagnoly and more… ✈️Budapest! What a beautiful city, despite rain and floods, there was some sunshine. The (short!) Ruin bar visit and beautiful Castle Hill was an absolute highlight! …honestly, I could go on, but for me meeting early career researchers from different routes was the best. I met the most amazing Sonographers, biomedical engineers working in aligned fields, masters of fetal medicine, applications specialists, business leaders…and to top it all off, I got to share my PhD work! Thank you #ISUOG2024 and especially shouting out to the awesome ISUOG Sonographers who made Budapest the most memorable experience! We absolutely #LoveUltrasound (and fetal MRI!) What else did I miss?
