It's been one week since our charity hotel hike, which saw our wonderful hotel teams join together to cover 1,799 miles over a 24 hour period! Collectively, we walked, cycled and ran the virtual distance between each of the hotels in the Focus portfolio and beyond to raise money for Alzheimer's Society, our 2024 charity of the year. Alongside an amazing range of other fundraising activities (including skydiving, charity car washes, dance-a-thons and more), the 24-hour hotel hike was part of our mission to raise £10,000 for Alzheimer's Society by the end of the year. Follow Focus Footsteps 👣 Over the past 24 hours the team at The Mercure Hatfield Oak have taken part in the Focus Hotels Management Limited Hike in support of the Alzheimer's Society, this years chosen charity. The effort and determination shown by the staff was incredible. Between the exercise bike on reception and laps of the site, we exceeded our target goal of 25 miles by almost double, reaching a staggering 46.7 miles. Over the last 24 hours, the team and guests at Hotel Indigo Exeter have taken part in the Focus Hotels Management Limited 24-hour hike in support of the Alzheimer's Society! To support this cause, we had an exercise bike in our reception area for both employees and guests to join in the challenge. 🚶♂️💙 Our goal was to hike 50 miles, and thanks to our amazing staff and guests, we exceeded that with a total of 64.43 miles! While it wasn’t a competition, we had some impressive contributions: 🏆 Staff Leader Board: 🥇 Mahesh J - General Manager - 6.2 Miles 🥈 Zara Turner - Sales Manager - 6 Miles 🥉 Laura Williams - Breakfast Manager - 5.37 Miles A huge shoutout to our wonderful guests who joined us, contributing 17.91 miles! 🌟 Special thanks to our Focus Hotel Operations and HR Directors, Lara Beechey FIH and Niki Ball, who were on-site with us for an additional 10.55 miles!
