🔇 “The paediatric virtual ward is the first service in the region designed under the principles of equitable access to specialist care for acutely unwell babies, children, and young people, which empowers parents or carers to take physical observations using a remote digital monitoring kit at home and, together with their remote clinicians and the educational package provided, collectively evaluate the progression of their child's recovery," explains Dr Yanny Delgado, Consultant Paediatrician at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, talking about the launch of the first children's virtual ward in Norfolk and Waveney, delivered through the Feebris technology. “The PVW process is supported and guided by robust pathways and guidelines that identify suitable candidates, optimising digital patient safety and aiming to provide safe care at home for children who, in other circumstances, would be admitted to the hospital." 🔇 It’s been an exciting week filled with collaboration, learning and inspiration here at Feebris! 🎉 In addition to working closely with our partners across the NHS and social care to support the delivery of virtual care, we were delighted to join a number of events seeking to advance the collaboration between industry and the system, and take a moment to think about the future of our sector. 🙌 🌟 Barts Life Sciences & UCLPartners workshop on virtual care: On Wednesday, we joined fellow industry, NHS and social care colleagues in Canary Wharf to explore emerging trends in virtual care. The discussions focused on both opportunities and challenges, including the urgent need for a long-term funding strategy in the space to support impactful projects for patients, staff and the entire NHS and social care ecosystem. It was great to catch up with our partners at Care City and talk about some of our existing projects too! 🌟 Inaugural Evelyn Dunsmore Foundation conference: Our colleagues were delighted to have the opportunity to attend this inspiring event dedicated to supporting women in healthtech earlier in the week. Named in honor of Evelyn Chalk, pioneer in medical technology, the Foundation is committed to addressing gender inequality in the sector. We highly encourage getting involved & want to say congratulations to the Interim Steering Group on a fantastic launch Charlotte Lewis Shane Tickell Carla S. & colleagues. 🌟 Suffolk and North East Essex ICS EXPO2024: And last but not least, we participated in an exciting event organised by the SNEE ICS at the Colchester Rugby Club today, where we discussed the power of compassion in healthcare, as well as the role of virtual care in sustainable system development, among many, many others! We were delighted to be able to share more about the work that we've been doing with ICSs across the country & learn from others too. Now we're already looking forward to the next event!
