The Rum Geography has opened its first angel investment round this week. The vision is to be the ultimate rum hub, a Lonely Planet for rum lovers, and seek passionate investors to join this journey. The $14bn rum industry had no cohesive platform to present to visitors worldwide. Trademarked RumGeography.com has created a rich content library for users with 1400+ rum producer profiles powered by 40k+ datasets, high-quality articles in rum guides, and 100+ country overviews. RumGeography.com has grown organically to become the world's most comprehensive map of rum producers, with 10% of the global rum market already signed up. We are delighted to announce that we have started to onboard our first investors. By the weekend, RumGeography.com will have gone through a major upgrade to be more dynamic and interactive for users. Something to celebrate on World Rum Day this Saturday 13th July! It’s a big week for Explore Rum Ltd.’s flagship brand, The Rum Geography, and a big milestone for the company. The Rum Geography is opening its first round of investment, contact us to learn more
Today we open our first round of angel investment. Over the past year, we've built a powerful platform connecting travellers worldwide with 1500 rum brands in 100+ countries. The $14bn rum market is booming, yet rum distillery tourism lacks a central hub. Large search engines no longer give search results that travellers are actually looking for. Instead, its ads, and often old, dated content from larger sites. People often give up and miss out on vacation-defining experiences. We're changing that. Invest in our first round and be part of the future of better travel experiences. Limited time opportunity. Capital at risk. Get in touch or share with your network. Today is St. George's Day, England's national day. A few short years ago English rum was generally accepted as tropically aged rum made in the Caribbean, or Guyana in South America. Today, England distills rum. Our map shows 100 producers and brands - a rum distillery could be in your neighbourhood. RumGeography.com is growing organically. Data is improving all the time. 100 rum brands have been onboarded since January. Recent data from 3 US states by Tourism Economics research found the total economic impact of distillery tourism generated: US$715.2 million in Texas, US$546.4 million in New York, US$417.8 million in California. We display profiles of over 520 rum producers in the USA, from 49 states. And, the opportunity is global. The UK has over 140 rum producers (90 in England), that’s more than the Caribbean. While some producers cannot be visited and others are not primarily focused on rum, we live in a digital-first landscape where all brands can thrive. Rum producers who have not yet verified their profiles can do so now, allowing rum lovers worldwide to better understand you. The rum landscape is changing all the time. It’s time to explore rum everywhere 🔎 #distillerytourism #travelplanning #destinationmangement #rum

In with the new. A new year brings new adventures. January is vacation planning and booking season for many people in the Northern Hemisphere. And, full swing summer season in the Southern Hemisphere. If you are in Africa, Asia, or Oceania there are many rum distilleries to discover. As we close out 2023, it's time to reflect on some key events. The idea for The Rum Geography started in early 2023 during a tour of distilleries in Martinique. By summer, the building blocks were formed and we launched end of November - only six weeks ago! Despite the hurdles, it's been an incredible achievement to build a platform that rum has needed for a long time. We have learned, adapted, grown, and had fun along the way. Backed by rum distilleries across the world, your positive feedback has driven us forward. We can't thank you enough and look forward to continuing to share this journey to make rum more accessible. What’s in store for 2024? More website functions, travel collaborations, new maps, and a more developed interactive site. We'll onboard rum enthusiasts from around the globe and welcome newbies to explore cultural experiences and local distilleries. For people serious about the health of the rum category, there will be an opportunity to contribute and strengthen the industry. Distilleries can share their sustainability and transparency initiatives with the most informed consumers in history. Rum will become much better understood globally, travel planning will have more options, and finding distilleries will be much quicker and easier. For now, we wish you all the best for 2024, and here's a recap of What Happened in Rum 2023 https://lnkd.in/eADGzBRM #rum #spiritsindustry #drinksindustry #yearendreview #newbeginnings
