It was a privilege to represent Royal Portrush in the annual Mac Perpetual Trophy against Portmarnock, especially in only the second year of this event. The tournament began with a cocktail party and featured two days of golf across the Dunluce and Valley courses. We were treated to warm receptions and delicious meals in the Babington Room and Skerries Room throughout the event. Both clubs have rich histories, making this experience exceptionally meaningful. Congratulations to Royal Portrush on reclaiming the trophy this year, following Portmarnock’s victory on their home turf last year. #GolfHistory

Number one ranked golf course in the world! Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the 2024 Irish Open DP World Tour at the number one ranked golf course in the world - Royal County Down. The atmosphere was electric, with large crowds cheering on the players particularly big followings for the locals Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Tom McKibbin. Last week, I had the privilege of supporting Royal Portrush Golf Club at Carlow Golf Club in County Carlow for the All Ireland Women’s Senior Cup finals. Our team included two talented under-16 Irish players and a stalwart in Ireland’s Seniors international squad. The final was against Douglas Golf Club from Cork - a stunning course and clubhouse with views over Cork City. It was a hard-fought match and Douglas emerged victorious. Congratulations to this outstanding team. We played County Sligo Golf Club in the quarterfinals and The Island Golf Club in the semifinals which were played the day before the final. Heartfelt congratulations to all the teams. On my journey back to Northern Ireland, I stayed at Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links. Many thanks to William Kirby, General Manager, and Paul McCanny, Director of Golf, for their warm hospitality and for showcasing their recent course and hotel renovations. I also had the pleasure of visiting Royal Dublin and catching up with General Manager Jeff Fallon. Jeff, thank you for your generous hospitality. We love to travel and sample unique golf destinations, play the courses and meet great people, but this past trip to Derry was something special considering the history of this brilliant city and to marvel and appreciate what it has become. #visitderry

I was lucky to be invited to Royal Portrush Golf Club for a little bit of work for Tourism Northern Ireland & the course in the run up to the course hosting The Open in 2025. I created a virtual tour of the course & the new accommodation called "The Rosses", which is a breathtaking property located just off the 4th fairway with views & a sunset that are out of this world. I put together a few videos from my visit & return visit for the club last week because what I got to see was an absolute pleasure to capture. The Dunluce Course is a beautiful monster. You can see straight away why it gets the reputation & sky high rankings. Rolling fairways are like carpets, greens with endless slopes & holes with choices to make off of every tee box. This is going to be another fantastic renewal when the 153rd edition of golf's oldest & greatest championship will be decided next July. It was Shane Lowry who was king of the links in 2019 when it last made the appearance within sight of the Giant's Causeway, who will do the business in 2025 when The R&A come to town? To add to the incredible Dunluce Course, the 2nd course in Royal Portrush, the Valley course is undergoing some big changes that are looking extremely good & will have 2 world class courses in the same stretch of land. Exciting Day at Royal Portrush’s Valley Course. The members had the opportunity to experience the first day of play on the newly designed 1- 6 holes on the Valley Course, and it was nothing short of spectacular! We played under the beautiful sunshine, each hole crafted by MacKenzie & Ebert truly embodies the essence of exceptional links golf. Photo 1. The revamped 1st hole, now adorned with two strategically placed bunkers and a raised green that exudes grandeur and challenge. Photo 2. Looking back to the green on the new 5th hole which was the 6th and has been extended to play as a par 5. Photo 3. The new 6th hole, par 3. The new 7th, 8th and 9th holes with views over the beach and Atlantic Ocean will be completed in the next few months. It’s a testament to the meticulous design and vision of Martin Ebert, enhancing the overall golfing experience at this historic venue - where every hole tells a story of craftsmanship and passion for the game.
