#deliveringlandyoucandevelop Envirotreat has completed a site investigation at the Peel Power Station Isle off Man for Manx Utilities and Curtins. The works involved the installation of a number of windowless and cable percussion boreholes. Soil samples scheduled for geotechnical and geoenvironmental assessment. Groundwater sampling via low-flow undertaken including free product assessment and data logger installed for groundwater level monitoring. On completion Envirotreat produced a factual report for Curtins

Delivering Land You Can Develop
About us
Envirotreat is a specialist remediation solution provider with over 20 years' experience in the design and delivery of sustainable and cost effective treatment solutions for wide range of soil and groundwater contamination issues. At the heart of the Envirotreat process is the patented E-Clay® technology, comprising of a range of advanced modified clays (E-Clay) that are specifically designed to treat the identified contamination. E-Clay can be applied both in-situ and ex-situ dependent on site characteristics and requirements. A specifically modified pillared E-Clay can be used within a Permeable Reactive Barrier application to address contaminated groundwater issues, this has been carried out on over 50 sites across the UK. The core E-Clay technology is complemented by new and unique products developed for specific remediation requirements. In addition to our E-Clay remediation services, Envirotreat offer enhanced Bioremediation, Environmental Consultancy and Site Investigation as a stand alone or to supplement existing schemes, waste soil classification / management to ensure complete compliance with waste regulations, MMP provision, asbestos in soil management and Japanese Knotweed management.

#PFAS #deliveringlandyoucandevelop #spellermetcalfe #throwbackthursday With Linkedin being so quite at the moment, thought we could do a "throwback Thursday" And with #PFAS being the flavour of the day at #Remtech Europe conference thought we would review the remediation works Envirotreat undertook at a complex site in Redditch. Site Background and Contamination: The site, formerly a landfill and existing fire station, was found to have elevated concentrations of PFOS / PFOA, ammonia, petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and cyanide due to waste activities and the use of AFFF's. Remediation Strategy: Envirotreat proposed an integrated remediation strategy involving in-situ stabilisation of the source area using PFASorb® and the installation of a Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB) along the southern and eastern site boundaries to address PFOS contamination. This strategy was approved by the clients consultants (LQM) and Worcester Regulatory Services (on behalf of Worcestershire Council). PFOS Treatment: PFOS, a persistent "forever chemical," was treated using PFASorb, a modified organoclay designed to chemically stabilise and immobilise the pollutant. Trials and site remediation achieved a 97% reduction in PFOS leachability. Validation and Effectiveness: Post-remediation validation testing of groundwater down gradient of the PRB showed significant improvement in quality (in respect to PFOS contamination) MBH202 96% (264 to 10.7ng/l) MBH203 (63.5 to <6.5ng/l) MBH204 97% (489 to 11.6ng/l) MBH206 98% (2,580 to 36.6ng/l) WS101 88% (309 to 36.6ng/l)* and WS102 68% (80.8 to 25.6ng/l)* * These boreholes were east of the source with a general north - south / southeast groundwater flow direction. These results demonstrated the effectiveness of the treatment in protecting the Batchley Brook from contamination. Regulatory Approval: The remediation works were approved by regulatory bodies, including Redditch Borough Council and Worcester Regulatory Services, ensuring the protection of controlled waters and human health, leading to the discharge of relevant planning conditions. Should you wish to know more about this project or other exciting news then please don't hesitate to contact us. #friargate #deliveringlandyoucandevelop At Friar Gate, Derby today carrying out Cone Penetration Tests (CPT). The CPT assesses geotechnical parameters of the ground for engineering design. At Friar Gate we are gathering further information in regard to ground conditions to 12m bgl around the foundations of the existing Bonded Warehouse. Everyday is a school day, a bit like dynamic probing on steroids
