I can’t believe it’s been a week since the epic Entrepreneurial Scotland Patron’s Lunch. 122 of Scotlands best business leaders gathered to support a cause close to their hearts, the growth of Scotland. Together we can build the prosperity that Scotland needs. We can create a new generation of ambitious leaders who will strive to make this country the best it can be. A huge thank you to Bob Keiller and Lord Haughey for their key note speeches. A huge thank you also to everyone who supported us along the way, the table sponsors, those that gifted items to the auction and those that bid. Together, we raised £30,000 in 30 minutes to support our Saltire Scholars Programme. Finally, a huge thank you to our members, community, host companies and alumni of our programmes. Thank you all for standing beside us on this journey.

A terrific couple of days at Blair Castle facilitating a retreat for CEOs on Entrepreneurial Scotland ‘s ‘Exchange Board’ programme. It doesn’t have to be ‘lonely at the top’ - this powerful initiative brings together CEOs from various sectors to provide structured peer-to-peer support, supported by the ES network. 9 Years Ago … something changed my life. 🌍 Entrepreneurial Scotland (then known as the Saltire Foundation) gave me the opportunity to take part on a year long programme at Babson College that completely changed my outlook and my career for the better. On Friday, I was delighted to be invited to the Entrepreneurial Scotland Patrons lunch to celebrate and support their ongoing programmes. In particular to raise money for the undergraduate internship programme the Saltire Scholars Programme. Since I graduated from the Saltire Fellowship and Babson College, I’ve been lucky enough to build my own business (and charity) and pay it forward it a small way by hosting several Saltire Scholars over the years. But this isn’t an act of charity. This is a chance to attract young, entrepreneurial and energetic additions to our business each summer who have added value in many ways, some of whom have gone on to permanent roles at QUICKBLOCK®. It was a privledge to be invited to attend Entrepreneurial Scotland’s inaugural Patrons Lunch last week and speak on the panel about my experience as an intern and beyond. My time as a Saltire Scholar continues to shape my career, expand my network and drive my ambition for the future. I look forward to giving back to the Saltire Scholars Programme each year by supporting the assessment centre process or in anyway I can. This truly is a brilliant programme for all involved. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with me on Friday and to ES for this networking opportunity. The day was so well organised with interesting and insightful key note speeches, and there was a real buzz around the room. Overall, it was a very inspiring event. Felling very inspired after a fantastic afternoon of connection and hospitality at The Exchange Glasgow with Entrepreneurial Scotland we heard Lord Willie Haughey’s story of growing his business to billions in turnover through building a network, Bob Keiller’s hilarious stories of building his first ‘business’ at the age of 12 and the lessons we can take from his early, slightly illegal, enterprises! The incredible Natasha Raskin Sharp led a fantastic auction and perhaps most importantly we heard from Andy Lothian 🔴🟡🔵🟢 about hosting Saltire Scholars, and directly from two recent scholars about the opportunity a global internship has offered them.
