At Elmleigh, we thrive on new challenges in the #FoodAndDrink industry! 🥔The Challenge: Installing a potato wedge cutting and blanching line at a facility in Carlisle. We needed to install the system in 3 months while minimising downtime. One of the biggest challenges? Creating an efficient cabling system that linked the new system to the main control panel. 🔌The Solution: Our professional electrical installation team neatly arranged and contained the cabling across the 35-metre run from the control panel to each part of the potato wedge system. We included the correct cable types: CY cables for motor and power connections 'YY' cables for control system connections Screened pair for analogue/digital devices. We bundled the cables and tied them to 304-grade stainless steel basket containment using food safe blue metal-detectable cable ties. 👍The Outcome: The client was incredibly impressed with the efficiency of our installation and the quality of the new system, including the expert cable management system. 💪Elmleigh take on the most complex projects - even replacing an entire conveyor system without incurring downtime whilst increasing their capacity for automation! The Challenge: Remove an existing conveyor system for a long-standing client in Dartford and install an updated, automated model. Ensure our clients have zero production downtime. Create additional floor space for future system upgrades. The Teams: ⚡Electrical installation ⚙️Mechanical installation 🖥️Software alterations 🔌Control panel workshop. The Solution: Our team removed the current conveyor system in 3 phases. Each phase corresponded to each conveyor segment, along with relevant control panels. After this, we installed and integrated the new system into the legacy line, creating a hybrid approach to achieve zero downtime. We also commissioned six control panel systems: two large multi-bay main enclosure panels and four remote panels. Installing the remote panels at each section of induct, decreasing the cabling needed for the main panels. Finally, we modified the control panels to support the hybridisation of the newer system and legacy line. The Outcome: Thanks to our project management team's capabilities and knowledge, our engineers completed the first 2 phases of the project on time. The system upgrade has improved functionality and ease of operations for the client. Elmleigh’s Darren Cornwall and Joshua Dare were excited to attend the Electronic Distributors’ Association (EDA) Regional Forum yesterday in Coventry. It was a great experience, allowing us to gain industry insights from manufacturers and suppliers.   The information gained was invaluable. A wide variety of interesting topics and discussions arose! Most notably, Darren had the amazing chance to appear on a panel hosted by Paul Reeve CEnv, Darren discussed Elmleigh’s use of green technology within installations along with Ryan Schubert and Robert Peters.   Going to this forum provided us with another perspective on the industry, so thank you very much to Margaret Fitzsimons and Anne Vessey Dip DigM for the invite. Your time was invaluable.   The two even had time to pop next door and explore the ELEX. So a massive thank you again, it was a great experience!!

Using load cell technology, we manufactured, installed, and commissioned the fully integrated system to replace existing level sensors on a raw material mixer. ✅The Outcome: The upgraded control system allows our client to create consistent products with higher performance and efficiency.
