👂 🔄 Have you heard about the new updates? Leading finance frameworks SBTi, NZIF, and NZAOA have all released new updates to their guidance, making #NetZero targets within reach for most asset managers. 🏭 The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) released V2.0 of Near-Term target-setting criteria for financial institutions- providing more detail on how to address fossil fuel-related activities. In addition, they have introduced a draft of the financial institution Net-Zero Standard for long-term targets. 🌿 The Net Zero Investment Framework (NZIF) released V2.0 pivoting away from 'reducing financed emissions' and towards a broader 'financing reduced emissions' strategy. 🎯 The Net Zero Asset Owners Alliance (NZAOA) published the fourth edition of the Target-Setting Protocol which details requirements of the next round of 5 year targets from 2025 to 2030. Want to learn more about these framework updates and their implications? 🗓️ 🌿 Day 2 at #VERGE24 consisted of not one, but TWO sessions hosted by members of the EcoAct team! 🎤 EcoActor Yue Qiu hosted a panel with Emily Pronchik, PE from FMC Corporation, Sneha Balasubramanian from Cisco, and Thomas Willert from Magna International. With a discussion on how to create a #Scope3 emissions inventory, this interactive breakout session had a packed room demonstrating just how many organizations attending VERGE this year are looking for guidance with scope 3 emissions. 🎤 EcoActors William Theisen, Luke Mendenhall, and Matthew Borden Nuñez hosted a lunch roundtable that was also overflowing with attendees eager to participate in discussion. Together, they shared what lessons they've learned from the past 18 years working in #VoluntaryCarbonMarkets. Thank you Trellis Group for providing the opportunity for organizations across industries sectors to participate in a collaborative discussion on how we can decarbonize and deploy climate tech at scale.
