The Home of Homes

About us

We’re here to help create the joy of truly feeling at home. Now and for the generations to come. Home isn’t just a place, it’s a feeling too. We believe truly feeling at home is one of the greatest joys in life. So how do we help? It’s the sofa where you put your feet up at the end of a long day, the pots and pans to recreate your grandma’s famous family recipe, or the photo frames for your favourite memories, and that fresh sheets feeling that you just can’t beat. We’ve come a long way in just over 40 years, from a stall on Leicester Market to over 170 stores, a new online store developed in house, our own distribution and home delivery network, manufacturing centre, and customer care centre. We want our customers to love the Dunelm experience, provide services that are helpful, and quality products that offer choice, all whilst being sustainable and great value. If you like to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, you’ll enjoy working for Dunelm. We’re the UK's number one choice for homewares because we make home life smoother and comfier for our customers. And when our customers are happy, we’re happy. We recruit people from all types of backgrounds who share our entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to work.

That's a wrap on Fresher's Week! 💚 We've loved having our new graduates and apprentices join us in our Syston Head Office this week. They have had an induction into the business, met our exec team, seen some of our operations including our Mock Shop and spent time getting to know each other, and we wish them well as they embark on their schemes with us. They have all been brilliant, and we're so excited for their next chapter with us! A huge thank you to our Early Careers team Sunita Fellows and Lucy Twigger for pulling together a brilliant first week for everyone! #findyourhappyplace #earlycareers #lifeatdunelm

Now, we have 184 – and Rory has had a massive impact on that growth. Read his story to find out a couple of his favourite memories, and why Dunelm is his happy place. #findyourhappyplace

We are proud to support Twyford Growers and Age UK, helping to bring older people together for the physical and mental benefits of gardening while sharing their harvest with the community 💜

"Gardening is so rewarding, it really lifts the sprits!" 🧑🌾 Recently, we caught up with Twyford Growers, a group supported by Age UK Berkshire which gathers each week to create connections while growing fruits and vegetables. From sharing their harvest with the community to building raised beds for those with limited mobility, Twyford Growers highlighted the incredible physical and mental benefits that gardening offers older people. Dunelm has since very kindly gifted the group with plant protection to stop pigeons from getting to the harvest before the gardeners can! Having corporate partners like Dunelm means so much to Age UK, local partners, and the older people we all support. Thank you for your continued support 💜

This morning we kicked off our Supported Shopping trial, launching Quieter Hours and Rest Spots in some of our stores. We want to create a more accessible, supported experience that allows all customers to feel seen whilst enjoying their shopping. Every Thursday, 9am-10am, selected stores will turn the music down, assist customers with trolleys and baskets, take shopping to cars for customers, and provide any additional support needed to make our in-store shopping experience better for our customers. Larger stores will also offer a Rest Spot – a dedicated and comfy space for customers to rest and consider purchases – available during all opening hours. We hope that these measures will allow for a better shopping experience for older people, neurodiverse shoppers and anyone else who requires extra support. This is an important first step to retail inclusivity and we hope to roll out to all of our stores in the near future.
