Derby—We’ve all seen it—our high street isn’t what it used to be, and hearing Derby ranked as one of the worst places to visit stings. Our city’s been through some tough times, and it’s easy to feel like the heart’s gone out of it. But let’s be clear: Derby’s not done yet. The power to bring our city back lies within us—its people. With the right spark, we can reimagine our streets, our culture, and our community. Change is not only possible—it’s coming. On 21st September 2024, Re:Imagine Derby will kick off with a full day of festivities centred around Electric Daisy, our vibrant hub of activity. From 10:00 to 22:30, experience a fun-filled day spread across Electric Daisy, Cathedral Green, and Saddlergate. The festival will include a city-wide parade featuring some unexpected guests, a special ceremony at the River Derwent to celebrate our connection to nature alongside a packed schedule of workshops, live performances, inspiring speakers and fantastic food. In a nod to our roots, don’t miss the "Pimp My Wheelbarrow" event—a playful tribute to Saddlergate’s infamous races! The event will culminate in an epic music line-up back at Electric Daisy, headlined by a sensational act—to be announced soon 👀

DTE x THE NORTH FACE Earlier this summer we teamed up with The Northface on an awesome project! With their support, we got a whole crew together, starting at Electric Daisy for a tidy up in Derby. We love our city so we took to the streets to show it some love, all whilst saving some plastics for our mates at Are You Mad, to create some magic with. After a few hours of graft we went back to the roots of what DTE is all about and took the crew for a ramble in the peaks 🥾 It was empowering to take some ownership of our city and lush to get out into our backyard - The Peak District ⛰ Who's up for something like this, again?

Our high street’s downturn and a poor ranking as one of the worst places to visit in the UK has cast a shadow over our city. We’re grappling with cultural decline and a disheartened community. But Derby is not done! The power to revive our city lies within us - the people! With the right guidance and inspiration, we can reimagine our city’s cultural and communal fabric. Change is both possible and imminent if we take action... so, let's go! 🥁🥁🥁 Re:Imagine Derby, a festival brought to you by Down To Earth, with the University of Derby. It's going to be jam packed with fun and purpose for all ages. The festivities will centre around Electric Daisy, which will be a vibrant hub of activity from day into night. This is about so much more than just enjoying the event (although you will); it’s about igniting a brighter future for our glorious city! Alongside community partners, we’re coming together to reconnect with nature, culture, and each other. This isn’t just a festival — it’s a movement, showing what our community can become. Join us for a day where fun meets change, and together, we’ll reimagine a more connected future inspired by nature 🌿 Re:Imagine Derby coming soon!
