Today, we have announced the acquisition of Ritual Zero Proof, the number one non-alc spirit brand in the U.S. Since its launch in 2019, Ritual has grown rapidly. Its award-winning portfolio now includes alternatives to whiskey, tequila, gin, rum and aperitif, which can all be substituted with traditional spirits to create non-alc versions of consumers’ favourite cocktails. We are excited to announce that two future leaders within the Diageo business have been recognised in Involve’s Heroes Role Model Lists 2024. Congratulations to Lorena Leonardi and olanike O., who have been celebrated for their exceptional work over the last year. The annual lists commend leaders who champion women in business and drive change for gender equality in the workplace. As well as these achievements shining a light on a great future for leadership in the business, Chief Executive Debra Crew and Louise Prashad, Chief HR Officer, were named on the Executives List for a second and third consecutive year, respectively. Today we’re introducing our first paper-based bottle trial for #JohnnieWalker. Created in partnership with PA Consulting, as part of the Bottle Collective with PA and PulPac, we are trialling a Dry Molded Fiber, 90% paper bottle with a thin plastic liner for Johnnie Walker Black Label, exclusively with bartenders at Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh. Beginning tomorrow, the 250 bottle trial will assess how bartenders interact with the bottle and how it fares in a bar environment. We are proud to be exploring the boundaries of innovation to not only deliver the quality and design our customers expect from us, but to do so in a way that reflects our sustainability ambitions.
