Good to see that the government, as outlined in today’s budget statement, remains focused on supporting and protecting the UK’s R&D activities with more than £20bn of funding being allocated “to unlock these growth industries of the future”, and an additional £6.1bn being provided to protect core research funding for areas like engineering, biotechnology and medical science. It’s also great to see priority and investment being given to carbon capture and storage, an area where Dehns has considerable recent expertise.
