A couple of weeks ago our Operations Director, Callum Falconer, caught up with Lucinda Craig of J+S Subsea at their brand new premises in Dyce, Aberdeen.   The new premises represent the continued growth of the organisation, whose expertise covers design, engineering, operational support, and maintenance of subsea equipment, while being fully committed to sustainability. "When I joined J+S 3 years ago, there was 18 staff,” said Lucy. “Now there are 38!”   We wish Lucy and the team all the best in their growth journey. #decommission #decommissioning #subsea #energy

From the earliest days of his apprenticeship to working offshore and onshore in the UK and overseas, and up to his current position, Richard has experience of the entire well lifecycle and was involved in decommissioning work way before it became labelled as such. Combine his experience with his encyclopaedic knowledge and understanding of the Decommissioning Work Breakdown Structure, and in Richard we have a Director who brings expert, pragmatic advice and direction to help ensure we’re listening to, and supporting, our members. “I’ve been involved with Decom Mission since its early days but right now, I am a passionate advocate of the direction the organisation is taking. Boom! 🎤 The 5th Decom Live took place yesterday and we’re delighted to have welcomed over 300 decom-focused professionals to the quayside at Peterhead Port Authority. In his closing remarks, our CEO, Sam Long made the point that “(decommissioning)… is complicated and we don’t pretend that it isn’t" - referencing not only the technical challenges, but also the external influences upon this global industry. And so, through all that we do, we remain committed to facilitating the conversation, connections, knowledge sharing, and debate that help drive the decommissioning journey onwards.
