Making work that matters since 2002

About us

At Creative Concern, we harness the power of communications as a force for good. We create brands and campaigns that matter. Communication is humankind’s most powerful tool. A tool to liberate, inspire and drive change. For over twenty years, we've been creating compelling communications to make the world a better, more sustainable place. We’re a creative agency, passionate about using our skills to activate change. For us, great ideas and good values go hand in hand. _ We’re based in Manchester and have clients down the road, in the UK and across the world. We don’t work with just anyone. We work with people who share our values and our enthusiasm to do great work, to deliver sustainability, to make a difference. Our clients are our partners and are involved from the off, collaborating with us to push the boundaries of what can be achieved together. Since we started out back in 2002, we’ve grown from a team of 2 to 22, working together to develop powerful and effective creative communications. We’re a full service agency; as at home devising marketing strategies and campaigns as we are creating brands and design work, making films, writing copy and delivering web or digital projects. We’ve been at this for a while now. We know what we can achieve. And we know that communications can and must accelerate change. Critically, we’re all about results. We take time to fully understand your audience and aspirations to develop work that can be integrated into existing activity, as well as having the strength to standalone. We love a new challenge, so give us a ring or drop us a line and see what we can do for you…

We are really proud to have launched a new website and brand with a bold new look. We have been working on this at pace so we can provide all our stakeholders with increased knowledge, more clarity about what we do and more resources about our life saving work with children and young people affected by violence and exploitation. Our new look and feel brings to life the work that we do. The bold, clear design and language reflects our tenacity and determination. It better reflects the communities that we work with, and shines a light on the experiences of young people, and the dedication of the Redthread staff who are by their side. A huge thank you to Fidelity Foundation for funding our really important new brand and website. And a big thank you to Creative Concern for having translated our important work, the tenacity of our staff and the experiences of young people so powerfully into an exciting new design, messaging and online presence. Visit www.redthread.org.uk to find out more about our transformative youth work, innovative training and policy priorities.

Monthly team get-together yesterday, and after a stellar Bundobust lunch we were ready to tackle our creative task for the afternoon; create a collage inspired by three sustainability focused short films we’d just watched. And whilst the brief specified it 'was not a competition' and 'no brownie points for neatness' - we all know how that went down in a creative agency... Welcome to the wonderful world of CC collage, where animals are leaving humans behind, space travel is not the answer and we’re all left with malted milk hands.

New work 🎉 We've loved working with the team at The University of Salford to create a campaign for their new food and drink offer - 'Eat and Drink on Campus'. The campaign celebrates the new menu with an emphasis on locally sourced produce, a more sustainable approach and a more diverse, international menu offer. With many dishes made on site, the new offer uses seasonal ingredients and supports local growers. The creative campaign uses a suite of playful illustrations, developed by our team, working alongside a series of fun tag lines to capture the essence and benefits of the new approach. The campaign rollout includes posters, adverts, digital screens, social media assets and a suite of films featuring cookery tips from the new head chef. The campaign went live yesterday and we can't wait to pop down and see it in action! We're proud to say we have an incredible team here at Creative Concern, but they're all pretty humble and shy away from the spotlight. Until now. We're a punchy team of 22, complete with film makers, strategists, designers, web builders, account managers and of course, copywriting. Today, we're going to shine the light on our copywriter extraordinaire Rebecca Nicholl as she shares with us why words matter when we have a planet to save. There's very rarely a project that Rebecca doesn't have some involvement in, and her ability to interpret our thoughts and ideas into words is quite frankly, mind-blowing. "I love being able to work with words all day, every day – using them to solve problems, articulate ideas and communicate all kinds of messages to all kinds of people. Lots of our clients have important things to say, people to help, money to raise, even a planet to save. It's great to really get to know what they need to say and come up with the words to get that message across.” - Rebecca Nicholl, Senior Copywriter at Creative Concern Have a read for Rebecca's top copywriting tips and to discover what her and David Tennant have in common... https://lnkd.in/eq8RCaSr  #copywriting  #spotlight  #team
