Last week we launched our brand new benefits package 🎉 It's a big deal for Craft, as we have seriously upped our investment in the team. But it's taken a while to get here, and we like to show behind the scenes... 💡 Our recent internal employee engagement survey told us what people want from their career at Craft, and what sort of benefits would appeal to them. 💡 Our Head of People, the excellent Lorna Saxon, spoke to other businesses and spent a lot of time researching through Great Place To Work UK - so we can benchmark our perks, and see that we're way ahead of peers and competitors. 💡 The Craft team isn't only in the UK - so then it was time for some serious head scratching and problem-solving... 💡 We then took a good look in the mirror: do these benefits truly excite us? Do they serve our current team well, and set us up for the future? Are they worth the investment, management and time to put in place? There are more freelancers than ever - and they are shaping the design industry. In fact, freelancers can help your business survive tough times. 🤔 How? Food and beauty sectors merge for those leveraging novelty, and the products are pretty funky. 🥚 Wanna smell like mayonnaise? Hellmann’s has teamed up with Tennessee Titans quarterback, Will Levis, to release 'No8 Parfum de Mayonnaise’ which is apparently "reminiscent of a well prepared dish.” Yum. Hellman’s stepped up their partnership following the rumour that Levis adds mayonnaise to his coffee, so he's become a posterboy for the condiment. Although sold out, you can still enjoy the launch video here > https://lnkd.in/erNt4_C4 Time for a snack. 🥨 “Knead: Eau De Pretzel” is the ingeniously named fragrance from iconic pretzel stand Auntie Anne’s. We all know that smells trigger more emotional and visceral memories than other senses, and this beautifully buttery smell evokes strong feelings for us all. A 'pretzel parfumerie’ sensory experience accompanied the launch. KFC ran with ’No11 Eau De BBQ’ earlier this year in a move to “think outside the burger box.” 🍔 Built entirely on novelty but with meaningful results, all proceeds were donated to the KFC Foundation for youth-focused organisations. Mmmm - these brands are a treat to look at. Superwarm tones and huggable typography, grounded by strong but playful graphic shapes - is the new look for indulgence firmly grounded in the past? 🍟 To start: fast food. Ashton was the first restaurant chain in Canada to specialise in poutine. LG2 worked all the classic codes of diner design into a modern brand, bringing the business from 1969 into current culture with a bang. By 2040, it’s predicted that 60% of the ‘meat’ people eat won’t come from animals - so we’re embracing Ashton’s new-nostalgic style, because it’s all about to change. 🌟 Blurr Bureau were briefed to awaken childlike joy in snacking moments for Flings. Nearly half of all 18-34 year olds across the UK and Europe eat a baked treat daily, so this new-to-world brand really needs to work hard. Far from the well-known and cheap ’toaster pastry’ leader, this identity captures the thrill of a treat, the wit of a challenger brand, and the premium modernity needed to invite new consumers. 🍬 Beyond sweets brings us another striking, vibrant colour combo. The curvy B icon is used across the packaging, as clever handles, fun patterns, and also product shapes! The design, by Mezcla Estudio, truly delivers on grown-up indulgence inspired by youthful treats. 🍷 And to drink? Medley wine, with beautiful branding by The Young Jerks. A bag full of organic goodness, and a brand full of personality - we love the simplicity and confidence of this packaging. #design #packaging #branding #designrecruitment
