UK-Japan innovation twins for net zero: fostering collaborative partnerships between carefully selected cities or regions across international borders. 🤝    Both regions are recognised for their strong commitments to achieving net zero emissions and possess unique strengths that complement each other. Wales is distinguished by its robust innovation ecosystem in renewable energy, while Fukuoka is known for its dynamic startup environment and industrial expertise.    This initiative aims to facilitate a two-way flow of innovations, investments, business expansions, and technology trials. By leveraging the unique strengths of each partner, this programme helps address common challenges and drive sustainable urban development.    This pairing is particularly focused on collaboration opportunities in achieving net zero emissions targets. NEW REPORT: Discover the innovation gaps and barriers to zero-emission airports. ✈️      To reach the goals set out in the UK’s Jet Zero Strategy, airports will need to deliver enabling infrastructure for zero-emission flight and decarbonise operations.
