Yesterday, the ConTech Summit made its debut at International Built Environment Week (IBEW), bringing together over 250 delegates (investors, startups, BE corporates) eager to explore the future of construction.
In his opening remarks, BCA’s Deputy CEO Teck Thai Heng highlighted how Singapore continues to be an ideal market to drive the development and adoption of ConTech solutions – with its supportive regulatory environment, initiatives like the Built Environment Innovation Hub (BEIH) to connect stakeholders showcase innovations, and programmes like the Built Environment Accelerate to Market Programme (BEAMP) to drive open innovation.
Attendees heard from distinguished speakers Gonzalo Galindo Gout from Cemex Ventures, Juan N. from Zacua Ventures, and Filla Mak from HKSTP - Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation on the latest ConTech trends.
The panelists of “The Future of ConTech in the Region” featuring Ke-Vin Lim from City Developments Limited, Murli Ravi from Tin Men Capital, Shaun Koo from H3 Zoom.AI, Benjamin Lee from Teambuild Construction Group and moderated by Yvonne Voon from Fifth Wall shared valuable insights on the vast opportunities for deployment that the region presents, including how ConTech start-ups can position themselves and their solutions for investments and growth.
The event also featured an impressive lineup of 10 local and international startups showcasing unique ConTech solutions. We would like to congratulate Ailytics, PODIUM.io, and FJDynamics on winning the ConTech Summit 2024 awards for Most Popular Startup, Most Liked Startup, and Most Creative Startup, respectively!
We’re thrilled to see such a strong turnout of key stakeholders committed to driving Innovation & Technology (I&T). We look forward to the ideas and partnerships emerging from this summit, as we shape the future of the global Built Environment sector together.
