When a business has a sociable culture, employees say they are happier, better understand their company’s vision and stay longer with their employer, according to our new report. 30,000+ workers and students in 21 countries were polled in our ‘Power of Socialisation’ report, exploring the attitudes of today’s employees and the workforce of the future. In partnership with global market intelligence agency Mintel, the report found that: 👩💼 27% of employees say they feel lonely or isolated at work. 🏢 83% who say their workplace is an enjoyable space to be in are happy at work. But happiness falls to just 22% if the environment is not right. 🤝 45% of hybrid workers say they would come into their place of work more often if there were more opportunities to socialise with colleagues. This morning, we launched our ‘Power of Socialisation’ report carried out in partnership with global market intelligence agency Mintel. Polling over 30,000 workers and students in 21 countries, it explores the attitudes of today’s employees and the workforce of the future to set out the ideal environment for socialising in the workplace. This recognition celebrates the team’s achievement in launching the first-ever Just Walk Out store in a healthcare setting. The store offers 24/7 accessibility, ensuring hospital staff and visitors have convenient access to a wide range of products at any time of day. Andrew Jones – MD, One Retail said: “I am absolutely thrilled this initiative has been acknowledged with a Retail industry Award. We worked with our partner at Telford to be to be the first to introduce this technology in a healthcare setting. The store helps provide great tech to support a 24/7 offer, with a wide range of hot and cold food and drinks, including hot beverages from Change Please. Today is World Menopause Day, a day founded by the International Menopause Society (IMS) to raise awareness and support for those experiencing menopause. Menopause can affect us all, whether we experience symptoms directly or find ourselves supporting someone who is. In recognition of this important day, our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Paul Litchfield, hosted learning sessions to help us better understand menopause and how to support others to navigate this significant life stage. Dr Paul gave expert advice, colleagues shared their personal experiences and we discussed the initiatives in place that provide support to those experiencing menopause.
