We recently met Sergeant Stuart Ford, who leads the City of London Police Cycling Team. His approach to policing is rooted in respect, empathy, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Beyond his policing duties, Stuart is also involved in the UK Police Unity Tour (UKPUT), which raises awareness for officers who have lost their lives in service and provides support for their families. He strongly emphasises physical and mental wellbeing, recognising that these are crucial to both personal resilience and effective service. By prioritising these aspects, he ensures that officers are not only fit for duty but also better equipped to handle the challenges of the job. The UK is hosting the 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly, which will take place from 4 to 7 November 2024 in Glasgow. The largest global gathering of senior law enforcement officials will bring together some 1,000 participants, including heads of police, ministers, and senior government officials from around the world. As part of this international event, the College of Policing will have a stand at the law enforcement exhibition, which aims to showcase the best of UK policing and law enforcement, with a focus on the three General Assembly themes - Global Leadership, Innovation and Collaboration.

🌐 Over 90% of reported crimes now have a digital component, creating both challenges and opportunities for police investigations. Criminals are also adapting to these opportunities, using tools like the dark web to evade surveillance.
