  • Pit lanes are a relatively new development on urban construction sites. They provide a safe and controlled area for the loading and unloading of materials. As pit lanes are currently not covered by the Red Book, the code of practice for street works, there are no defined standards to guide contractors in the design and implementation. With its compact footprint and sound-reducing properties, the SVEA Barrier System provides the ideal solution for safer pit lanes, whilst its rapid build times reduce the impact on road users and the public. #chevron #sveabarriersystem #pitlanes

Chevron Traffic Management’s Action on Climate Change 🌍🌳 In a significant move towards environmental responsibility, our science-based emissions reduction targets were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This prestigious accreditation demonstrates our commitment to combating climate change and aligning our operations with global efforts to limit temperature rise. Our overall Net-Zero Target aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2050. This ambitious goal is supported by a series of near-term and long-term targets designed to progressively reduce emissions. This is testament to our sustainable business practices and recognition of the urgent need to address climate change. Setting these targets not only demonstrates our dedication to minimising our environmental impact but also, we hope, inspires positive change within the traffic management sector. • The Manchester Carnival is a must-attend event, and we are proud to have played a crucial role in ensuring its success. Our team delivered an exceptional performance, providing rolling road closures for two parades that catered to over 10,000 attendees. For the first parade, the J'ouvert route, we used 5 Chevron vehicles and 9 operatives to install the road closure under our Social Values framework. For the second parade, the main Carnival Parade, we deployed the same resources to ensure a seamless experience. But our work didn't stop there. We also installed lane closures and road closures to facilitate the safe egress of the Carnival grounds, both on Saturday and Sunday. This meticulous planning and execution not only allowed the event to run smoothly but also contributed to creating a memorable experience for all involved, sparking excitement and eagerness for future collaborations. As the leading provider of traffic management solutions, we take pride in our ability to support large-scale events like the Manchester Carnival. Our assertive approach and unwavering commitment to safety have cemented our reputation as the go-to partner for event organisers. • A Heartfelt Appreciation for 39 Years of Dedication 👏 Last week marked a truly remarkable milestone - the 39th work anniversary of our esteemed colleague, David Abbott, the head of our events department. David's journey with our company began on 1st August, when he first joined Traffic Management Services (TMS). His unwavering commitment continued even as TMS was taken over by Chevron TM on 1st April 2019. Through the ups and downs, David's passion and expertise have been instrumental in shaping our events division. His tireless efforts and innovative approach have consistently delivered exceptional experiences for our valued clients. We are truly grateful for David's 39 years of dedicated service, and we look forward to many more years of his leadership and contributions. Thank you, David, for your unwavering dedication and for being an integral part of our Chevron TM family. #WorkAnniversary #Dedication #EventsManagement #ChevronTM

  • Straight from the farm 🚜🌱 The team at our Braintree depot have been hard at work, collaborating with Express Utilities. We provided traffic management for the construction of a new and improved entrance at Dream Care Farm, moving the entrance to make the farm more easily accessible to its visitors. As a non-profit Community Interest Company, Dream Care Farm is on a mission to create a space for healing, growth, and learning for everyone in the local community. At the heart of their initiative is a simple yet powerful goal: to provide a space where local schools, parents, and alternative education providers can bring children to learn about growing food and connecting with nature. Sue Smith, the owner of the Dream Care Farm, had this to say: “It makes me feel there are people who believe in the project, and that's supportive to me. We have spent seven years working on this, and it's been nothing but a struggle. Now, we are closing one door and opening another, literally, with the entrance. It's exciting and will open the door to so many people."
