Over to the other half of the Sedgemoor duo now for a visit to Welcome Break’s offering on the northbound side of the M5 between junctions 22 and 21. Since my last visit in May 2023, the WHSmith store has received a refit. The store relaunched just before the Easter break at the end of March and features new furnishings and fittings throughout including new floor to ceiling chillers. The WHSmith store also features a new CELTIC FROZEN DRINKS LTD area with Hershey’s and Reese’s Freeze and Hot Chocolate machines on offer alongside Jolly Rancher Slush. These new additions compliment the existing Starbucks offering well and offers something different for holidaymakers heading home from the south-west. Elsewhere on site, the external kiosk now trades as Phat Pasty Co - Phat Retail Ltd during the peak periods. It’s great to see the kiosk back in use at Sedgemoor as it’s been sat dormant for a number of years now.
