Brookland was pleased to act as financial adviser to Pinewood Group Limited on its latest £750m high yield bond issuance and £76m revolving credit facility. This was the largest sterling high yield bond issuance to be placed in the public capital markets in the last 3 years. Pleased that Brookland was able to assist Blackstone in securing this innovative 3-year extension. With 98% of bondholders across 5 tranches and various other stakeholders voting for the proposal this was the highest level of support we have ever seen on a European CMBS transaction of this nature. #cmbs #realestatefinance
Blackstone has secured an extension from note holders on its defaulted Sponda loan. The extension buys the firm up to three-years to sell the rest of the portfolio. In exchange Blackstone has offered sweeteners including a higher interest rate. The agreement comes as the PE firm closes a raft of new financings, a sign of some easing in European CRE debt markets. In total Blackstone has secured almost €12 billion of new real estate loans in Europe this year.
