British Skin Foundation
Research Services
We are the only UK charity that raises money to fund research into all types of skin diseases, including skin cancer.
About us
The British Skin Foundation is the only UK charity that raises money to fund research into all types of skin diseases, including skin cancer. Sixty percent of British people currently suffer from or have suffered with a skin disease at some point during their lifetime. Whilst some skin conditions are manageable, others are severe enough to kill. We are here to help change that by raising money for vital research to help find cures and treatments for common skin conditions like eczema or acne, through to potential killers like malignant melanoma. Founded in 1996, the British Skin Foundation has supported 400 research projects and awarded £17,000,000 in funding across all skin diseases. Whilst we are dedicated to raising money for research, we also aim to raise awareness of skin diseases in the wider community. We're committed to educating people about the different skin conditions, helping to reduce stigma and promote understanding. The British Skin Foundation receives no statutory funding and relies on completely on donations.

Shout to our incredible supporter, Sue! 💙 Read all about the AMBLor® melanoma prognostic over on our website: https://lnkd.in/d6tiwtJA AMLo Biosciences Newcastle University
🌟 Groundbreaking news! 🌟 An incredible new test is now available that can accurately and personally identify early-stage melanomas at low risk of progression. This is a game-changer! 🙌 I was incredibly lucky to have my melanoma diagnosed at Stage 1, and I know just how much this early research will help so many future melanoma patients. 💛 The rollercoaster of emotions and anxiety after a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, especially with all the regular check-ups. This new research could help reduce that burden by determining what follow-up care is needed - cutting down the stress and costs involved. 💡 I’m so proud to have supported this vital work through fundraising for @bsfcharity, who have been key in making this happen! 🎗️✨ #MelanomaAwareness #CancerResearch #GameChanger #ProudSupporter #bsf #britishskinfoundation
