"I use this in workplaces as it helps people to understand why communication may not be going well and what can be done, yet I'm told it also improves people's personal relationships." Lord Darzi's review highlights urgent need for investment in mental health of NHS workforce. Staff having access to psychologically-led support services is vital, as this film about the NHS staff mental health & wellbeing hubs illustrates. "The NHS can only thrive, and patients can only access the high-quality services and care they need, if we have a 'well' workforce, and staff mental health and wellbeing must be a core priority." DCP Faculty of Perinatal Psychology Unconference 2024 Reflections on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in perinatal psychology – systemic vitality or structural fragility? Taking place on 1st October 2024 in London, this event from the DCP Faculty of Perinatal Psychology will use a non-traditional approach, where co-production has been privileged to plan and deliver all aspects of the day. The topics that will be discussed, the facilitators invited, and the way the day is structured and delivered – were all decided via discussions and a survey with the faculty’s members. The hope is for this approach to create more opportunities for the informal exchange of ideas and reflections between participants. The unconference aims to promote an awareness and understanding of EDI as it applies to best practice in the field of perinatal psychology. We will explore approaches to structural discrimination and oppression, with a particular focus on creative and coproduced approaches to working psychologically with women and birthing people from global majority ethnic groups, those who are neurodiverse, and those from LGBTQIA+ communities. View the programme here: https://lnkd.in/es3jKm6S Location: BPS London Office 30 Tabernacle Street London EC2A 4UE Conference attendance is available in person only. Bookings will close at 10:00 BST on Tuesday 24th September 2024. Book now: https://lnkd.in/eynZzsTU
