🫵 Do you own or work for a business which sells goods or services? Would it help somehow if more of those things got sold? If so then I may have something for you ... Members of Bristol Creative Industries should attend my "Wake Up Call" on Friday and learn the kind of copywriting skills that people will LITERALLY PAY SOME MONEY FOR under normal circumstances. Non-members should ... become members! It's less than a fiver a month and they're exclusively bloody lovely people (it's useful too). Plus you get to experience my webinar. Register here https://lnkd.in/enECDbwA See you Friday!

Fantastic Bristol Creative Industries Keynote from Stephen Page of Faber and Faber. For me, the biggest takeaway was the importance of listening, internally and externally to help make the most informed decisions. Especially when a business is going through a crisis.

I’m really looking forward to hosting my first keynote event for Bristol Creative Industries this Tuesday at 12.30. It’s online so you don’t need to be in Bristol to join us. Faber and Faber chair Stephen Page will draw on more than 20 years leading, chairing and being on the board of creative and cultural organisations to examine key aspects of leadership at all levels in the creative sector. He will consider: ✅ How to approach renewing strategy and motivating yourself and others to drive change. ✅ How to innovate in the face of market change, opportunity and competition. ✅ Dealing with the personal challenge of leading and working in the creative sector. Tickets are £15+VAT for Bristol Creative Industries members, and £30+VAT for non-members. 🚨 Personal news klaxon! I’m delighted to announce that I’m the new events host for the brilliant Bristol Creative Industries 🙌 Founded in 2005, BCI is an incredible not-for-profit community interest company that represents a network of amazing creative businesses in Bristol and the south west. I've been working with the organisation on content and social media since 2021, and it's fantastic to now get even more involved by hosting events with some top speakers. As Sian Pitman heads off on maternity leave, I’m taking over hosting the fortnightly Wake Up Call, the Friday morning webinars delivered by BCI members for BCI members. My first one is this Friday at 8.15am with accountant Yarka Krajickova sharing expert advice on the things you need to consider when deciding to trade as a sole trader or limited company. On 15 November, HR expert Richard Roberts joins me to discuss 10 top tips for creating a successful and engaging working culture. We’ll confirm the remaining Wake Up Calls of the year soon. If you’re a Bristol Creative Industries member and you’d like to deliver a webinar on your topic of expertise in 2025, let me know! I’m also hosting BCI’s keynote events and we have a great online one on 22 October at 12.30pm. Faber and Faber chair Stephen Page will draw on 20+ years leading, chairing and being on the board of creative and cultural organisations to examine key aspects of leadership at all levels in the creative sector. Watch out for some exciting keynotes in 2025, and if you’ve got ideas for keynote speakers (online and in person in Bristol), I’d love to hear from you on that too. Register for all the events at https://lnkd.in/gBY52XZe If you’re not a member, check out the member benefits and get involved. Your membership helps to support the sector, including BCI and Babbasa's fantastic internship programme for young people from underrepresented groups. #bristol #bristolcreativeindustries #bristolevents #eventhost #emcee #eventsprof #creativeindustries #creativesector Alli Nicholas Lis Anderson FCIPR Clare Leczycki Shonette Laffy Heather Wright Marissa Lewis-Peart Kate Sikora Tom Harber Tom Bowden-Green Adam Millbank David Darke Gail Caig Julian Davis
