On National Coming Out Day, let’s remember that coming out is a deeply personal journey, and not everyone may feel ready or safe to take that step. Our goal should be to create inclusive and supportive workplaces where everyone feels valued and respected. #ComingOut #NationalComingOutDay #Blossom #BlossomWithUs #Mentoring #LGBTQIA

We create events, activities, and safe spaces for LGBTQ+ young adults to be proud.
About us
We support the amazing things that LGBTQIA+ young adults can achieve when they are empowered to succeed without the fear of discrimination. It's our vision that by working together, we’ll create environments where LGBTQ+ young adults can succeed in all aspects of their social and professional lives. Our Story Blossom LGBT officially began in 2019 being run from the living rooms of inspired volunteers who wanted to change the way young LGBTQIA+ people connected. We quickly discovered the huge need for supportive spaces where LGBTQIA+ young adults could thrive. By our fifth birthday, Blossom LGBT had become an institution of change and made a name for itself as a progressive and forward-thinking community-led organisation operating across the United Kingdom. Our ambition today remains as strong as day one, with a committed team of paid staff & volunteers from within the queer community who work with LGBTQIA+ young adults across the country to support them in the world of work. We’re passionate about being leaders in meeting the needs of LGBTQIA+ young adults. Before working with Blossom LGBT our members tell us that they felt directionless, isolated, and shut out. We empower them to blossom… into authentic & confident people through our uplifting & positive approach to LGBTQIA+ advocacy. This allows our members to navigate barriers and supports them to build stable careers, meaningful relationships, and pride in who they are.

On World Mental Health Day, let’s focus on positive change and inclusion in the workplace. While 57% of LGBTQ+ job seekers have left their last job due to anti-LGBT conduct, we have the power to create supportive and affirming workplaces. A positive work environment is crucial for mental health and well-being. By fostering environments where everyone feels valued and respected, we can contribute to better mental health and well-being for all. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealth #Blossom #BlossomWithUs #Mentoring #LGBTQIA

October is ADHD Awareness Month, and it’s important to recognise how ADHD can uniquely impact young LGBTQ+ individuals. Many face additional challenges, and raising awareness helps ensure they receive the support and understanding they deserve. Let’s break down barriers and create an inclusive environment where everyone’s experiences and needs are acknowledged and valued. #ADHDAwarenessMonth #LGBTQYouth #InclusionMatters

Your First Week at Work - Tip #1 Prepare for the First Day. Your first day is likely to be a whirlwind of new information and introductions, so being prepared can make a big difference. Review any materials provided beforehand, and come with a notepad to jot down key details. Plan to arrive early to give yourself time to settle in and make a positive first impression. Remember, feeling overwhelmed is normal, so pace yourself, ask questions when needed, and give yourself time to adjust. #Blossom #BlossomWithUs #Mentoring #LGBTQIA #NewJob
