Meet our newest Yak 👋🐃 We are excited to introduce Sofiane Hacini, who is joining us today as our newest Junior Cloud Engineer!   Sofiane is a dedicated IT engineer and Computer Science graduate with a major in Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps from the University of Grenoble Alps. After gaining valuable experience abroad as a Network and Systems Administrator in France, he’s now back in London and ready to tackle new challenges with us.   He will be joining our expanding SpecOps team to support our customers' platform operations, ensuring seamless performance and exceptional service delivery.   Welcome to the herd Sofiane🎉

Contributions at BlakYaks: Infrastructure as Code and DevOps Excellence In the case of large businesses, we are steadfast in our belief that the full business benefits of public cloud can only be realised by putting mature DevOps and IaC at the kernel of you cloud implementation and operations. This leads to lower costs, improved security and operational resilience long-term and gives development teams the self-service capabilities they need to deliver digital services to market faster. Deploying then managing all cloud services throughout their life cycle with code should be a strategic imperative within latest generation technology and business strategies where technology scale is part of the challenge. While its clearly easier to say than do, its important to start defining the principles, standards, best practices and disciplines that make the long term goal achievable. Craig Hurt’s latest blog article provides interesting insight into one small piece of one small tenet of the overall challenge (IaC) but an important one nonetheless. It gives a sense of just one of the benchmarks we set ourselves at BlakYaks and explores how the IaC landscape is evolving, particularly with leading IaC tools like those from HashiCorp. Craig’s insights not only reflect our commitment to excellence from the tech leadership but also provide valuable perspectives for others who view the IaC space through a similar lens. Congratulations to #TeamMicrosoft for successfully completing the 3 Peaks Challenge in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity! 🎉🙌   Last week, a dedicated Microsoft team tackled the challenging 3 Peaks route, scaling the highest three peaks in the UK within a strict 24-hour timeframe, to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH).   Braving harsh weather conditions, the team walked 44 kilometres and covered a total of 1,200 miles and we at BlakYaks are thrilled to have supported and sponsored their incredible effort 💪   GOSH is a globally renowned children’s hospital based in London, committed to delivering exceptional care and pioneering treatments for seriously ill children.
