We’re looking for an Associate Director-level Public Affairs/Stakeholder Engagement professional to join the team. The role will involve managing client work, winning new business and contributing to the sustainable growth of Belmont Strategy. It comes with a base salary of £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience) and a pathway to progressing within the company. Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council's Planning Committee today (Wednesday 28th August 2024) voted to grant planning approval for the proposed Merrow Hotel & Spa development in Portstewart. In welcoming the decision, the applicant C&V Developments said the project will result in a significant boost for the local hospitality and tourism sector as well as providing a permanent home for the team behind the world famous NW200, who will have offices in the hotel. ABO Wind becomes ABO Energy. Leading international renewable energy developer ABO Wind has rebranded in Northern Ireland to become ABO Energy. The company is leading NI's shift away from fossil fuels, having achieved planning approval for 375MW of renewable electricity generation and storage. Initially set up to develop onshore wind farms, the company’s focus has expanded, and its expertise has grown to include battery energy storage, solar PV and hydrogen production. Commenting on the rebrand, Patricia McGrath (MIPI), ABO Energy’s Head of Development in Northern Ireland said: “The name ABO Energy much better reflects the breadth of skills and expertise we now have. "The rebrand does not involve a change in company ownership, and our ethos remains unchanged. A successful evening at Belfast City Council’s Planning Committee with approval for two major applications. Kainos' new HQ on Dublin Road will become a landmark development in the city and a world-class home for one of Belfast's most successful homegrown companies; whilst on the adjacent site, Queen's' purpose-built, managed student accommodation will help meet the needs of the growing student population.
