#TesticularCancer accounts for around 1% of all male cancers in the UK, with approximately 2,400 cases diagnosed each year. The good news is that survival rates are high. Around 98% of men diagnosed with testicular cancer live at least 10 years post-diagnosis. Of course, survival rate is highly impacted by how early you detect the signs and symptoms, and the cancer’s responsiveness to treatment. In some cases, testicular cancer can spread (or metastasize) to other parts of the body. Cancer charity saving lives by raising awareness and providing support to people impacted by testicular cancer.
About us
Baggy Trousers UK is a cancer charity based in the Northwest of England, it was founded by Jack Broadley in 2014. After going through his own experience of testicular cancer at the age of 21, Jack decided to take on this challenge to embark on a journey that would inspire him to help others that have been impacted by the illness that he’d once had. Jack felt an inherent urge to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by testicular cancer and that, with the charity being run by a survivor, he could get the message across to others by sharing his experience. As a charity we provide a number of services, we aim to: 1. Raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer, actively promoting the benefits of early detection and encouraging males to visit their GP if they suspect any of the signs or symptoms. 2. Deliver engaging awareness talks and distribute self-help materials such as leaflets, posters, and step-by-step checking cards. Attend public and corporate exhibitions with our purpose-built awareness stand. 3. Provide financial, emotional, and peer support to people impacted by testicular cancer via telephone, email, social media, and funded therapy. Baggy Trousers UK is a registered charity in England and Wales. Charity Number: 1160724.

🏃♂️ Please support Robert Roughley as he runs 2400km! 👟 Rob is on a mission to raise awareness and support those impacted by testicular cancer. Every year, over 2400 men in the UK are diagnosed with testicular cancer. The good news is that over 98% of them are cured. Rob is running 1km for every man diagnosed each year. He has already covered over 1540km 👏 and would really appreciate your support along the way. All fundraising will go directly to Baggy Trousers UK, who supported Rob through his Testicular Cancer journey & provides continued support to those impacted by testicular cancer. You can donate to my JustGiving page by clicking here https://lnkd.in/eFy_7b7N

We’re excited to announce that some of the team are doing the Heaton parkrun on June 22. Inspired by our Rob’s momentous effort to run 2400km in 2024, our founder Jack Broadley, and trustees Ian Arnison-Phillips and Harry Johns, will be joining him early doors ready for the 9am run, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. You can find us somewhere around the Pavillion Cafe afterwards where we will be handing out leaflets and chatting to people. We hope to see you there! Anything you can give towards Rob's effort will make a huge difference and help him achieve his goal! https://lnkd.in/e-AcWu-p... #TesticularCancer #TesticularCancerCharity #fundraising #supporting #heretohelp #reachout #letushelp #testicular #cancer #parkrun
