It’s difficult to understate the importance of this project for the UK’s growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of developing a place-based, bottom-up approach to building a strong case that maximises economic growth and connectivity between the Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester.     After months of in-depth consultation, design work, and pre-application engagement, we're excited to have submitted a full planning application on behalf of Pines Way (Bath) LLP. The proposed development will deliver shared living and residential accommodation, along with ground-floor amenities and commercial spaces, just on the edge of Bath city centre. This project will revitalise a vacant site and contribute to the wider regeneration of Bath Western Riverside. It’s been a pleasure collaborating with such a responsive and talented client, as well as an exceptional design and technical team. Together, we've created an application that thoughtfully addresses key planning considerations, including placemaking, heritage, landscape impact, and green infrastructure. We’re also grateful for the proactive input from B&NES officers during the pre-application process, which was invaluable.     We are thrilled to announce that Avison Young │ UK has been re-appointed as one of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) Strategic Property Advisors over a seven-year contract, supporting the single biggest estates change programme within Defence: the Defence Estate Optimisation (DEO) Portfolio. Avison Young will be involved in providing comprehensive advice on how former military sites can be redeveloped for alternative residential and commercial uses to support local community needs, alongside the other appointed real estate advisors and technical consultants.   On the previous 5-year contract Avison Young have successfully disposed of a number of surplus sites including a 10 acre site at DSG Colchester, which will deliver around 200 new homes. We have also significantly advanced the planning positions across a number of other sites with support from masterplanning specialists Planit and working collaboratively alongside MoD’s technical consultants. These sites have the potential to deliver over 8,000 new homes and include Royal Artillery Barracks Woolwich, RAF Henlow and Sir John Moore Barracks, Winchester.   Barney Hillsdon, Principal at Avison Young and project lead, said: “This is a fantastic reappointment for Avison Young and provides us with the opportunity to build on the significant progress we have made across the portfolio during the last five years.
