🚀 We’ve raised £2.6M to build sustainable, affordable and beautiful homes! 🚀 Today, the world faces many big challenges. There is a huge and urgent need for affordable low-energy homes, but currently, these are expensive to build and difficult to deliver at scale. Building high quality, sustainable timber homes is hard to scale, but AUAR is here to change that. AUAR is on a mission to address these challenges by building a global ecosystem of 🤖 automated micro-factories 🤖 to deliver sustainable, affordable and beautiful homes to millions of people. AUAR offers a different vision for the built environment. Automation is not centralised into large factories. Instead, we license the company’s low CapEx robotic micro-factories and tech stack to a network of existing home builders, enabling us to deliver sustainable and affordable homes at scale. Just 1 AUAR micro-factory enables a £1m revenue creation opportunity per year for home builders, drastically reducing the risk in adopting robotics in construction. This Seed round will continue to support the growth of our existing partner network in Europe and the expansion of our operations in the US. If your company is interestd in becoming an AUAR partner, get in touch. We are also hiring across our robotics, product and marketing teams as part of the funding. Keep an eye out for job opportunities on our website! #forpeopleandplanet #gooddesign #thinkholistically #beboldberadical #buildtogether #embraceresponsibility Massive congratulations to the entire AUAR team for making this happen and bringing us to the next stage of our journey! Mollie Claypool (CEO), Gilles Retsin (CTO/Chief Architect), Bridget Hipwell (COO), Jordi Dominguez (fCFO), Ivo Tedbury (VP Automation), Kevin Saey (VP Building Systems), Danaë Parissi (Head of Software), David Dória (Software Tech Lead), Oscar Walheim (Architecture Lead), Nikos Pachis (Full Stack Dev), Brecht Reynaert (Micro-Factory Manager). Building a global, automated construction ecosystem for sustainable, affordable and beautiful housing
About us
Automated Architecture or AUAR - pronounced ‘our’ for short - is building a global, automated construction ecosystem for housing. We partner with homebuilders, developers and manufacturers, who get access to our tech-stack of Robotic Micro-Factories and AI-powered design-to-manufacturing software through our ‘No Capex’ Hardware-as-a-Service pricing model. Our partners use our tech to increase efficiencies, predictability and oversight, while significantly reducing financial risk and environmental costs, when building timber homes. AUAR is the only construction tech company genuinely enabling the existing industry to deliver sustainable, affordable and beautiful homes at scale.

📣 2024 📣 has been a year of execution for AUAR with an exciting milestone last week: we shipped two of our robotic Micro-Factories to our first US partners Rival in the US! AUAR’s Micro-Factories will be deployed by Rival, a real estate development and construction firm, to build thousands of sustainable and affordable homes across the Midwest. The two Micro-Factories can each produce up to 180 homes a year. Unlike existing solutions, our Micro-Factories don’t require big factories to be set up and have a quick lead time of 12 weeks from order to shipping. We can’t wait to see the Micro-Factories in production! To get the team at Rival up and running with AUAR’s technology, an innovative low-energy ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) will be built first. We achieved this milestone with the strategic support from our automation partners ABB Robotics, who share in our commitment to sustainable construction. 👉👉👉 Love this and want more? Join us on our journey by becoming an AUAR Partner today: we're signing 10 partners for 2025 right now! 🌍 Visit https://auar.io or email us on [email protected] for more information 💪 #automation #robotics #auar #microfactories #sustainable #affordable #housing #gooddesign #forpeopleandplanet #buildtogether #rivalholdings #abbrobotics

We’re thrilled to unveil AUAR’s new branding and website! 🚀 We worked with the amazing team at Ascend Studio though their Worldfirst Brand Accelerator programme who created a fresh visual identity that reflects our vision and mission: to build the tech that makes sustainable housing universally accessible. 🌍🏠 #ForPeopleandPlanet Our new brand highlights AUAR’s deep commitment to enabling the existing industry to build homes that are better for people and the planet. At the heart of what we do is #BuildingTogether because we believe real change only happens through collaboration and partnership. AUAR is building a global, automated construction ecosystem for housing. This idea of an ecosystem or distributed network is also woven into our identity. And of course, our robots building timber blocks inspired our tagline: “The Building Blocks of a Better Future.” Check our new website https://auar.io/ and let us know what you think! #AUAR #SustainableHousing #Automation #NewBrand #BuildingTogether #AscendStudio #Worldfirst

Last week we put 10 of the UK's best in net zero construction and building operations in a room with Shimizu Corporation for an afternoon of pitching, Q&A and networking. In short, it rocked. Held at Sustainable Ventures' fantastic event space, and delivered through our partnership with the Department for Business and Trade – the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme, it helped UK companies get face-to-face with one of APAC's biggest civil engineering firms. The winner will fly to Shimizu Corporation's offices in Singapore to advance commercial discussions. We've got six more lined up before April 2025, so get in touch if you'd like to learn more - https://lnkd.in/e8Z7vCRE The presenting companies were: Automated Architecture (AUAR) - automated micro-factories that use robots to rapidly create sustainable and affordable architecture Construction Carbon – carbon management platform for the building and construction industries Hydrologiq – turnkey hydrogen generators and energy management software Cloud Cycle Ltd – sensor software that digitises concrete processes, improves quality control and logistics Low Carbon Materials (LCM) – construction material alternatives: carbon negative concrete aggregate for constructions and asphalt for roads LightFi – smart building management solution covering indoor air quality, health and wellbeing, on-demand HVAC control and workspace analytics re:sustain – building optimisation solution based on digital twin tech, with which users can track, model and automate improvements to energy usage Smart Spaces® – building automation & workplace management system to support property managers' operations SEaB ENERGY (SEaB Power Ltd) – containerised anaerobic digestion systems for on-site conversion of organic waste into energy Faradai – Machine learning-based solution for energy & emissions tracking, ESG reporting, carbon accounting and emission and energy reduction Thanks to everyone that took part, and Daisuke Kato and Rina T. from NOVARE for helping deliver a superb event 🇯🇵 🇬🇧
