A new era begins in Newark as the Air & Space Institute (ASI) officially opens, marking a £15.4 million investment in the future of aviation and space education 🎉 At the launch event, Professor Veronica Pickering MBS HAC HM Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire initiated the countdown, bringing the engine of the Airbus A320 Neo to life. Guests enjoyed tours of the newly finished Airbus, flights in our simulators, VR demonstrations, and a campus tour led by our students, wrapping up the afternoon with duty-free goodies and an inflight magazine ✈️ With backing from industry leaders and over 150 guests, including the Mayor of the East Midlands, the ASI cements Newark as a hub for innovation!
