We are advising Tritax EuroBox plc on its £557 million takeover by Titanium Ruth Bidco Limited, a newly formed entity owned by one of Brookfield’s private real estate funds. The offer, considering Tritax EuroBox's net debt, implies an enterprise value of approximately £1.1 billion. Tritax EuroBox, a FTSE 250 constituent since 2018, holds a €1.5 billion logistics real estate portfolio across Continental Europe. The takeover is expected to conclude by year-end. Our cross-practice team is being led by Karen Davies and Simon Bullock, and is being advised on by Lynn Dunne and Steven Vaz. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eAq-NDgf

Great to spend time with our people and clients in Dubai. The Middle East is a key part of our strategic growth plans for the firm. Our Dubai office continues to go from strength to strength, gaining new team members and working on a varied mix of interesting projects . Over the last year our partner numbers in the region have doubled across each of our Corporate, Disputes and Financial regulatory practices. This morning I joined a tech M&A and data centre seminar with our Corporate Team team in Dubai and London covering global tech M&A trends and the drivers and key legal and commercial points arising in implementing data centre deals. A big thank you to our team for their warm welcome and insights - David Charlier, Simon Rahimzada, Vasi Papadopoulos, Jonathan Cohen and Chris Grey (to name but a few!)

With Black History Month underway in the UK, I had the privilege of attending an inspiring fireside chat last night with Tim Campbell MBE, hosted by the Ashurst Black Network at our London office. Tim has reached remarkable milestones in his career, having been appointed as the latest advisor to Lord Alan Sugar on The Apprentice, which he won in 2005, sitting alongside Baroness Karren Brady. In line with this year’s Black History Month theme, Reclaiming Narratives, Tim discussed the realities that Black professionals face in business, including the need to unlearn generational practices to succeed in new environments. He emphasised that sponsorship and allyship are essential, also highlighting how first-of-their-kind inclusive hires face unique pressures and need strong allies to thrive. Tim also reminded us that diversity objectives must be as integrated and accountable as any other business goal. One thought that particularly stood out was Tim’s perspective on racism. He suggested a shift in thinking, from seeing racism solely as harmful language to understanding it as a barrier to economic opportunity. A special thanks to Tim for sharing his journey and his unwavering commitment to fostering more inclusive spaces for all, and to Trevor Goode, Asha Owen-Adams, Sylvia Lloyd-Morris, .Mark R. J., and Ashleigh Smithson for delivering such a brilliant event. #BlackHistoryMonth #BHM2024 #ReclaimingNarratives

Italy is not just a renowned tourist destination, but a choice for those who want to relocate and reduce their tax burden. Italian law offers several incentives for foreigners who move to the country, from flat tax rates to exemptions. But are those incentives reliable and worth it? Find out in this episode of Tax Lyrical, where our host Sophie Lloyd speaks with Italian colleagues Michele Milanese and Federico Nobili to discuss Italy and its potential as a tax destination for high-net-worth individuals, managers and companies.
