In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of private client work with a particular focus on wills and powers of attorney, lifetime trusts and will trusts, and the drafting and administration of these. Our Managing Partner, Murray McCall, Partner Fiona McKinnon, and Senior Associate Jemma Forrest recently had the pleasure of attending the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce event at the Radisson Blu Hotel, which featured a dinner with Lord Willie Haughey OBE and Sir Tom Hunter. The evening offered a captivating look into the remarkable business journeys of Lord Haughey and Sir Tom, who shared valuable insights on building a thriving business and offered top-notch advice for aspiring entrepreneurs. The team had a fantastic evening and found the event thoroughly engaging.

According to the latest figures, rural crime in Scotland saw a 35% increase in 2023 compared to 2022, with the UK's total cost of rural crime rising to £52.8 million, up from £50.6 million. A big factor in this is rising inflation, which makes farm equipment a tempting target for thieves.
