During October, our teams across the UK came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support's World Biggest Coffee Morning. Several Altrad locations took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on or around Friday 27th September. Of the locations that took part - Renfrew, Aberdeen, Middlesborough, Ellesmere Port, Huddersfield, and Warrington – an incredible total of £1,601,00 was raised! 🧁 Outstanding work from all involved for an amazing cause. On the Serica Bruce platform located in the North Sea, Scotland, our team discovered a distressed Water Rail far from its wetland habitat. Using soft spill mats, they safely captured the bird. 🐦 The team contacted the SSPCA, and the bird, named Wendy, stayed on the platform for 5 days, receiving excellent care before being flown back to Aberdeen. After a health check, Wendy was released back into the wilds of Aberdeenshire. Well done to our team for their care and attention in ensuring Wendy made it back to her natural habitat.
