Age UK Wandsworth, previously Age Concern Wandsworth, is an independent local charity set up in 1963 and is the principal voluntary sector organisation working with older people in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Our mission is to promote the wellbeing of all older people and to help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Our services are open to all older people and their carers through our offices in central Wandsworth, in customers’ homes or through an Age UK Wandsworth outreach session. Age UK Wandsworth recognises the positive contribution older people make to society.

Delighted that we could offer a grant for this amazing tea party to bring older people together 🥰
The Happiest Day of the Year! Thank you so much to all our guests for coming to spend the afternoon with us at the beautiful Home Community Café CIC this week for our 3rd Annual Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The High Tea that was lovingly created by Meg Fry, and her dedicated Home Café Tea was delicious and enjoyed by guests, volunteers, staff and our guest of honour, Deputy Mayor of Wandsworth finna Ayres. Thank you to our Deputy Mayor for choosing the winners of our Best Hat competition, of which choir member Leila was one! The sun was shining and there was even entertainment from incredible pianist Howard, plus an appearance from our WANDSWORTH COMMUNITY TRANSPORT Choir, expertly led by our guitar playing Managing Director, Manuel Button. Plus a free raffle for all our guests to take part in with lots of locally donated prizes. Massive thank you to all our staff and volunteers for making this event possible and so much fun. We love this event it is always well supported by our shared community, this year we are lucky enough to have achieved a grant to host it, from Age UK Wandsworth, from their Wandsworth Borough Council Age Well Central Grant Fund. But the fun doesn’t stop here, we have lots of great trips scheduled for the summer including lunches and day trips. Plus our popular Sainsbury's ShopMobility shopping service that supports local people to come and shop independently. We are proud Community Transport Association members and always deliver our vital community services by being 'more than just transport'. Want more information?
