Here’s some food for thought, according to the Guardian US, it’s ‘almost impossible’ to eliminate toxic PFAS from your diet.   PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are man-made chemicals that have been used in consumer products and industrial processes since the 1950s for their resistance to heat, grease, and water. They're in almost everything we consume: eggs, seafood, vegetables, and even the water we drink and bathe in. Avoiding them is virtually impossible.   These chemicals are linked to various cancers, kidney disease, and other chronic illnesses. In just 7 months, we've consumed all the resources our planet can regenerate this year. It's like maxing out a credit card without covering the minimum repayments. This year, #EarthOvershootDay fell on August 1, highlighting the stark reality that we are using up the resources of 1.7 Earths annually.   Why is this happening?   👶 Population Growth: Increasing global population. 🤑 Higher Consumption: Rising prosperity leads to greater consumption. 🏗 Ecosystem Conversion: Natural areas transformed for agriculture, industry, and housing.   These factors accelerate climate change and contribute to the loss of ecosystems. If trends continue, by 2050, we'll need the resources of 3 Earths per year.   To prevent this, we must embrace a sustainable future focused on: ⚡ Efficiency: Using resources wisely to produce more with less. ♻ Circular Economy: Minimising waste and incorporating renewable technologies. 🍃 Sustainable Practices: Governments and organisations championing eco-friendly processes.
