The Imports figure reports the value of all goods and services brought into the country from abroad. Imported goods and services are purchased by Canadian companies and consumers, but produced by foreign producers.

A reading that is weaker than forecast is generally supportive (bullish) for the CAD, while a stronger than forecast reading is generally negative (bearish) for the CAD.
