While it has certain downsides, here are the main benefits it brings to a game development process: 👉 Can significantly reduce development time and costs by automating the creation of large amounts of content 👉 Allows for the generation of diverse and unique content, preventing players from experiencing repetitive gameplay 👉 Can be used to create vast and ever-changing worlds, providing players with endless possibilities for exploration 👉 Can be tailored to specific player preferences and game mechanics, offering a more personalized experience 👉 Can lead to new and creative gameplay experiences that would be difficult or impossible to achieve through traditional hand-crafted content With that said, we were very impressed by Chris Murphy's session “PCG: First Steps to Advanced Development” at #UE Fest 2024, where he built such a system live, demonstrating practical applications and best solutions.
