Through this initiative, Buffalo Sewer is committed to modernizing our water infrastructure, increasing climate resilience, and enhancing public health for all residents. Learn how construction is progressing for the new Sabiñánigo Viaduct over the Gállego and Aurín Rivers in Huesca, Spain. The bridge’s 90-meter typical spans hold a world record for a deck constructed using an underslung movable scaffolding system. https://lnkd.in/dKRJVwU2 The viaduct measures about 934 meters long and 25 meters wide, with a deck comprising a large, post-tensioned concrete box girder with variable depth. Constructed using a wing traveler, the wide lateral overhangs are supported by a series of precast lateral struts placed every five meters. The final stages of the deck construction are now viewable from a cliff head next to the Gállego River. Our Project Management + Construction Management team is passionate about helping our clients succeed – case in point: the Joliet Gateway Center in Joliet, IL. As Project Management Consultant, we assisted the Illinois Department of Transportation Division of Public and Intermodal Transportation in overseeing the design and construction of a new multimodal regional transportation center. Our services included project management, design oversight, and construction management services for six complex contracts. The center brings together Amtrak passenger rail, Metra suburban rail, future high-speed rail, Pace suburban buses, and intercity buses in one common facility. It plays a key role in revitalizing Illinois’ third-largest city. 🌍 Changing Lives, One Bridge at a Time 🌍 At 115 meters long, the Muregeya Trail Bridge is the longest hybrid suspension bridge ever built by Bridges to Prosperity (B2P). Thanks to the hard work of TYLin, Introba, Dar, local workers, and B2P, it’s now a vital link for over 2,500 residents in Rwanda’s Karongi District, connecting them to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. What’s even more inspiring is how the experience changed our volunteers. Working through steep terrain, high altitudes, and under the intense African sun, they came away with much more than a record-setting bridge — they built strong connections with the community and each other. It’s a project that reminds us all of the power of teamwork and perseverance.
