Episode 15 – Who will be left behind?
With a tsunami on the way, Wilmington, NC residents (like Miles and his family) are being forced to evacuate the island.
Laura travels to find Rich who has been arrested by military police at the mysterious laboratory. As the lab employees evacuate the building, he’s locked in a cell and left to die.
Miles’ girlfriend Caitlin has gone missing and he goes back to find her. With the help of Nim, Miles eventually finds her unconscious on the side of the road. As they try to escape the tsunami by car, they run into Laura and Rich who have escaped from the lab. They run out of gas and flee to a church just as a giant wave come towards them.
Inside the church, Laura and Miles see a big creature swimming around in the water. As a second wave comes crashing in, they make it up to the roof of the church. On the roof, the four look out over a flooded city and Laura says, “It’s a whole new world.”
The show was cancelled and there’s been news of any plans to finish the story. The DVD set includes deleted scenes but no closure.

I and many others were disappointed when they did not renew this show. It was in my top ten of the BEST all-time television series. It kept the woke and identity politics out of it, thankfully, being one of many reasons I loved this series. The special effects, suspense, characters, conspiracy and pace was top-notch on every episode. I heard some elites in high places did not like what it was showing, aka exposing about shadow black ops’ government agencies, and if you think about it, I can see why. BUT this show should have continued. What it did rarely… Read more »
The show was so good. I wish they had season 2 episode 1. I wish they didn’t cancel the show because it was low rating. Please bring the show back.
This show had so many possibilities. Fell in love with it straight away. Long time gone but I miss it.
I would like to find tv shows similiar to this but I’m lost. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Personally I wish they’d bring this show back again for a few more season, given the change in technology n computers! Leave us on a cliffhanger at the end of Season One! So not cool!
Best show known to man
I absolutely love this show, I watched it with my family when I was a kid when every episode would air and it has been in the back of my mind ever since, I recently purchased the DVD because I HAD to watch it again, it was just as good as ever, I think if Netflix saw this show and somehow people grouped together and made a petition, I think this show could get revived! the actor for Phill passed away in early November of 2020, RIP, he was a really cool and funny character, I wish Netflix would see… Read more »
Netflix had that show on but they took it off much to the pain of everyone watching. I personally thought Surface was one of the best TV series they had on NBC.
I TOTALLY said the EXACT Same thing!!
I love the show I wish it came back it’s a good one give it time one more time and I’m pretty sure people will watch it more I’m just saying give it one more chance… I loved it! Thank you for letting me put this on
BRING BACK SURFACE!!!!!!!!
Networks do not pay attention to the fanbase, letting greed be the only motive of determination on television. You would think that Star Trek would have taught the networks a little about fans vs advertisers…although Star Trek’s rating seemed bad (from Neilsen ratings no doubt), their fan base was massive. Nowadays business ONLY operates from greed — putting the consumer LAST. Seems rather idiotic when their entire business is about profit to ignore the very people that purchases the products they feature commercials for, but big business does not run by logic, only greed, a fool’s venture. Similar to the… Read more »
I hate it when I get into watching a series to find out I’m never going to see what happens down the line. With the people today I think it would go over good. You all just think about the money and not us the viewer
