TV show description:
This cop show follows a half dozen diverse rookies of the New York Police Department as they learn and patrol the gritty streets of upper Manhattan.
Jennifer “White House” Perry (Leelee Sobieski) is a former college volleyball star and Marine MP in Iraq who has a take-charge attitude. Ray “Lazarus” Harper (Adam Goldberg) is the oldest rookie of the group. As a former police news reporter, Lazarus has better inside sources than most seasoned cops
Tonya Sanchez (Judy Marte) comes from a family with a criminal history. Ahmad Kahn (Tom Reed) is an Afghani native who fought his way to freedom.
A fourth-generation police officer, Kenny McClaren (Stark Sands) has great instincts but had qualms about joining the police force. And finally, Jayson “Jackpot” Toney (Harold House Moore) is a young basketball legend who squandered his opportunity in the NBA.
The rookies’ demanding Field Training Officer is Daniel “Yoda” Dean (Terry Kinney) — a case-hardened, unsentimental veteran of the force who emphasizes basics and holds each cop accountable for their actions.
And finally, Sergeant Terry Howard (Felix Solis) rounds out the team. He’s a no-nonsense plainclothes officer from the Gang Intel Unit, who trains the rookies on how to keep the gangbangers at bay.
With their unique backgrounds, personalities, and various reasons for being part of the NYPD, the new cops make their share of rookie mistakes as they figure out how to relate to their boss, each other, and the people they have sworn to protect.
Episode 13 — Turf War
Lazarus and Tonya must convince tenants to evacuate their condemned building before the wrecking ball arrives. Meanwhile, Kenny and Ahmad try to find a pickpocket among a group of vendors, and Jackpot and White House patrol a street ball tournament.
First aired: 08/11/12
What do you think? Are you sorry that NYC 22 only lasted 13 episodes? What would you have liked to see happen in season two?

Really loved this show! Every character was played very well! You actually cared for the happenings of each character. Glad I came upon it and watched the 1 season made. Really good story! Major upgrade to reality tv.
loved the show…. wish it had gone on and on
Just discovered this show on Netflix. Never knew about it. Sorry only 13 episodes were made. Like a lot of people I hate reality shows and get bored with the lame humor on so many shows, so I rely on Netflix when I want to relax and watch TV. Unfortunately it seems the good shows are hardly advertised and when I happen upo them, they are cancelled.
same here love the show
Me too just finished it on netflix. Mad it got cancelled
I really can’t believe their just going to keep us hanging on this show. Sucksj
Instead of showing reruns of Blue Bloods CBS should of put in the Friday Night slot.
This was a really good show.
This was pretty much like Rookie Blue. But I didn’t mind it. Still think rookie blue is better though
Moronic decision. I didn’t know it had been cancelled and have been eagerly anticipating season 2 – until now. Idiots.
Put NYC22 back on. It was a good show.
Why can’t you exec’s get with it AND STOP THE MASSIVE OVERLOAD OF TALK AND REALITY SHOWS, WE NEED SHOWS OF THIS CALIPER TO HOLD OUR INTEREST. IT HAS NO CHANCE UNLESS IT IS GIVEN A CHANCE AND PEOPLE KNOW IT IS OUT THERE TO SEE INSTEAD OF STUMBLING UPON IT BY ACCIDENT. DO YOU PEOPLE EVER COUNT THE DVR RECORDINGS THAT GET WATCHED BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE NO FREE TIME WHILE TRYING TO FEED THEIR FAMILIES. WE GET TO WATCH WHEN WE GET HOME FROM WORK OR GET A MOMENT TO REST. I hate the fact that this show has… Read more »
