TV show description:
A single camera comedy, the Nightcap TV show features a blended cast of improv actors and real celebrities. Each episode covers the moments leading up to the live broadcast of a fictional late-night talk show, Nightcap with Jimmy.
Overworked and largely overlooked, Staci (Wentworth) is the talent booker for the low-rated Nightcap with Jimmy. She must rise above the insanity which permeates the set, ahead of each episode.
Staci’s quirky, ever-loyal assistant, Penny (Blumenfeld), who suffers from a deficient immune system, is a people pleaser to the extreme. It’s clear she means well, and that is often her saving grace.
The network brought on talent consultant, Davis (Tottenham) to aid Staci in her bid to bring Nightcap with Jimmy, “to the next level.” Despite his cool composure, Davis is intent on carrying out corporate’s demands to tighten up the production.
Todd (Fanelli) is Jimmy’s best friend, and also contributes to the show’s writing and production, in an unofficial capacity. While his actual input is minimal, he often fails to remain professional, especially around celebrity guests.
A devout conspiracy theorist, sound guy Randy (Wallach), gets creepily frisky while mic’ing up the Nightcap with Jimmy guests. Instead of seeking out new conspiracy theories, perhaps he should Google the concept of personal space.
A no-nonsense publicist, Malik (Rise) doesn’t bother to hide her contempt for the Nightcap cast and crew. Still, she takes time out of her busy schedule to deride Staci and the show and is always trawling for new clients.
Makeup artist Marcus (Gregory) needs a lesson in keeping his T.M.I. details under wraps. Although he has a wife and children, he’s not above flirting with a good looking man.
Chef Grady (Clifford) has a bit of an Eeyore complex. He’s also unenthusiastic about his job, and particularly loathes the show’s celebrity guests.
A security guard, Phil (Hiller), exhibits a remarkable ignorance of security and very little dedication to it. In addition to being bad at his job, he’s also none too useful in other capacities.
As the show’s new social media coordinator, Olivia (Park) seems especially indifferent to her role. For that matter, she’s not all that social, either. The only thing that rouses her enthusiasm is capitalizing on her colleagues’ foibles, to attract new social media followers.
Surrounded by this crack staff, can Staci continue to keep Nightcap with Jimmy on the air? Stay tuned.

What do you think? Do you like the Nightcap TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for another season on Pop?
PLEEEEASE bring this show back. I have been waiting on word of its return. It is different from the same old comedy show structure. These are fun, lovable quirky, but most of all, genius characters flawlessly portrayed to give a pedestal showcasing Ali Wentworth’s perfect timing. THE BEST!!!!
Took me a few episodes to warm up to the characters but that is normal. I really like this show and I miss it. It is fresh and raw and I want to see more. Please bring it back.
DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!! LOVE IT!!
